Tim Burton: A Tribute

im starting a 70x70 sized park that will be themed to various movies of the director, Tim Burton. i am making this because of the TNPP contest which calls for a movie themed park for february's contest because of the academy awards. i have decided since tim burton is my favorite director, to make a tribute to him and build a park.

what im planning on doing is making separate sections for batman, nightmare before christmas, and charlie and the chocolate factory with the rest of his movies being represented by rides surrounded by a little theming from the movie. an example of this would be the mars attacks ride which i have a picture for. this is how Mars Attacks will be represented in the park:

please leave some comments!

That's a great looking building, except somehow the paths look weird, like they're all at slightly different levels. Maybe that's the effect you want, though.
I think Tim Burton is a great inspiration for a park. I'm especially interested to see how the Nightmare Before Christmas section turns out.

The whole screen does look cool. I like how your park has some meaning to it like a tribute instead of just a park. Really cool.

I'm guessing he wanted it to LOOK like a big pathway but instead colored the ground to resemble a pathway so that the coaster can still have supports. It it was all pathway, the coaster would just float around in the air.

BTW, I also suggest a Big Fish AND a Sleepy Hollow area.

thanks for the comments. i'll probably redo the path to make room for custom suports for the coaster. tim burton's only movies i have never seen are sleepy hollow and Ed Wood, so i will not be representing those in the park. as for Big Fish, my plans are to try to build Spectre with some nice rides and shops. on the other side of the reflecting pond (which you can see in that screen), i will be representing planet of the apes (i think you can guess what i'll be building).

update pic - new colors, new layout, added custom supports, took away one tunnel, cleaned up the path, and mellowed out the flower colors.

im keeping the tunnel on top because without it, the roof would look too plain. if theres more stuff you dont like, please tell me.

a pic of the enterance, i tried to make it tim burton like, dark yet colorful:

comments please!

The coaster does look better and so do the colors, the paths, and the building with the tunnel on top. Everything ok with that one.

Second screen is very cool. I like all of the colors. It sort of looks like Dr. Suess. But it does look sweet none the less, of course!! Your buildings are always surpurb. The only thing that I don't really like is the black rectangle on top of the green roof in the middle. Looks a little weird. Maybe mess with it a bit or whatever.

EDIT: On the first screen, I think it would look better to change the underground to black instead of just dirt for the coaster.

You could always do some nice theming with some of the bushes trimmed to look like animals and stuff--Edward Scissorhands. Would love to see a Beetlejuice ride or section too!

Good job on the entrance. It's got a good amout of the quirky, asymmetrical feel that defines Burton's films. The coaster looks better with new colors and custom supports as well.

Very nice...That's a very interesting looking flyer. Doesn't look like you put the pretzel loop in it so that's a plus. And it looks like you've invented your own type of cobra roll which looks very interesting. Very nice work, I look forward to seeing more of this park. Looks awesome after seeing three screenshots.

Holy cow, the flyer cobra roll looks amazing! Very unique. This coaster is awesome. The building around it looks great too and all of the colors.

What a splended park.

I like that "cobra roll" element you've added. It's uniqueness works well with the Burton theme, as does the building. However, the giant arch looks a little weird. All the rest of the park is greatly detailed, and the arch looks empty. Unless, of course, that's the idea.

The park really conveys a Tim Burton feel. The colors are perfect and the architecture is great. You also have unique inversions and elements. It seems like it will be a great park like most of yours.

As I posted at NE:
You need to make it look more like Film Noir... i.e. less colors and more greys/tans/rust/fog type stuff... other than that it looks nice.
