apsterling Parks announced today that a new Amusment Park is coming to the Scottsdale, AZ area. When the Park Opens, it will have 3 RollerCoasters and quite a few other thrill and gentle rides. Along with the park is a planned WaterPark coming sometime this season. The waterpark is planned to have more than 16 new Waterslides include the H20 Bowl slide. The 3 Coasters at the park are unnamed, however apsterling told us today that the ride types are as follows.

a Maurer Söhne X Car Coaster
a GCI woodie
and a Vekoma SLC-E Suspended Coaster.

We will certainly be keeping an eye on this park. We can expect great things from the apsterling company.

Today, apsterling showed us some pictures of the X-Car Coaster which has been Dubbed Lazer, it's Slogan is:

Blinding Speed

This Maurer Söhne X Car Coaster has 5 inversions, including the beginner inversion, the middle slope Zero-G Roll, the large Bent Cuban eight, and a horsehoe, and bringing it down, is an overbanked Loop. The waterpark is going to be completed in a few weeks too he said. When we asked about the Woodie, he said that it, and the SLC, are in the Development stage, and that they are setting up to launch soon.

After driving past the park, we saw some construction going on in the back of the park, so we stopped and went to the gates and take some pictures. We got some good ones, and when we checked our emails we saw one from apsterling.

The enclosed attatchment on this email is an overview of the park, including the two launch towers, X-Launch and X-Drop, and it shows current status of the SLC-E Custom, The Genie's Escape. The Escape has the same inversions as a regular SLC, but a helix is added, and the dual roll goes into the sidewinder instead of around. And the GCI racer/Dueler has been given it's name. It has been dubbed ShowDown, and will be in the WildWest area of the park. The area in which you find Lazer, Energizer, SawBlade, and The X towers has been dubbed GeoTech. Thats it for now.

We saw the SLC. Here's a show of the colors of many of the rides. We saw.

In GeoTech, main colors are

apsterling allowed us into the park to ride Lazer, and The Genie's Escape. These are the two coasters that are currently completed. When the Genie goes into the building, expect a huge turnaround in the ride's favor. This is no ordinary SLC. The DoubleRoll is inside the Sidewinder, not outside. And it's helix is faster than that of the ordinary SLC-E. We nabbed some pics, along with the shots apsterling gave to us.

It looks pretty good, but your buildings are WAY too blocky. It really improves the look of the park if its not blocky.....

We visited the Completed Amusement Park today, and rode the rides, except ShowDown which, despite it's completeness, is still undergoing construction and testing. The Genie's Helix is incredibly fast for a suspended coaster.

looks ok but i would try to work on the scenery. it just doesn't look natural to have a building sitting out in the middle of nothing. blending buildings along with rides and other scenery make the park flow better. the coasters are looking vry nice. also try using different types of path for different areas of your park. it helps add some diversity.

if you mean showdown's buildings, they are meant to be that way.

kind of, but not really. i mean like the purple coaster's building. it probably wouldn,t hurt to place some scenery around it, or even make it bigger and also put something else in it. the blue building in the pic i showed you has a resturant in it along with a barrel roll going over the paths and stalls.

o. I get what you're saying. Im probably gonna have something like a Sky Tower in it. And, progress report.

WildWest- 75% (Some theming and rides not yet finished)

Total: 68.75% Done


Speed : Outrunner, the new slide is in testing today. As a MasterBlaster slide, going 30MPh is fast. 65 however... Tommorrow the apsterling Design team is going to get an ORV(On-Ride Video) Look forward to this? Or dread it...

We have gotten new pictures from apsterling showing the waterparks completion. Among the Slides, are the Speed Duo, the DareDevil, and a few others. In other news however...

apsterling also announced today that a new coaster, the largest one in this park, is coming this season. As a floorless, we expect it to be a well centered addition to the park.

Well, the problem with that picture is the barrel roll has no supports. It's not a very good example when the ride is hovering.

it was too hard to make supports with all the paths around it. i don't have steelworx, either.
