It may be because RCT1 is an older program and not compatible with Windows XP. Try installing RCT 3.

Maybe the version you have of Windows XP needs the Service Pack upgrade done to it. Are you installing the program from an official CD-ROM? That's the only other thing I can think of.

I do have RCT 3 running without any probs.
But I like RCT 1 better. I als have the original Idea.
And I do have Service Pack 2 installed.

The only thing is, it was running before on XP with SP2.

No ideas what to do?

I would say the first thing is make sure your AntiVirus programs and the like are off. Then retry. I would turn off the computer and try again, hey you never know. You might want to remove RCT3 and the SP2 and then try again. You could be out of hard drive (40GB is not much) or memory(doubt it). I would think most likely its seeing shadows in the RCT3 program or the SP2 (as it should be installed afterwards and not before) and thinking your using a copy. Unless you actually are using a copy, you can either use a program to get around this(not recommended), or actually buy the real thing(yeah). Good Luck
