Picking New Computer for RCT3 Expansions, Need Direction!

I hope someone can help me with a little bit of a dilemma I'm currently facing in regards to purchasing a new computer. I have an older Dell 4600 desktop that was simply meant to handle the Internet and some office functions. Of course I threw the original RCT as well as RCT2 on the computer as well as soon as they became available, but now RCT3 is a little too much for ol' faithful to handle. This computer runs the game automatically on the "low" graphics setting, but I can at least crank up the draw distance on rides without too much slowdown to make the feel of the game a little bit smoother. "A little bit smoother" is really a relative phrase because unfortunately my computer won't even display water and is bogged down by tons of lag when I'm viewing a ride in the Coaster Cam.

For my next year of college, I've decided to seek out a new notebook computer to make life a lot easier on myself. It is hard to move my current computer back and forth when I come home, and most importantly, I want something that can run a lot faster and with more efficiency as well. I'm willing to spend a soft $1,400 right now, meaning I'll go a little over that amount if the additional features will really show its benefits. I really want a computer (I'm such a coaster nerd) that is going to run RCT Soaked and Wild fairly well, and I don't mind if the graphics aren't exactly at the highest setting either. I don't have a lot of technical know-how when it comes to computers, so I'm basically at the mercy of sales associates aside from what little understanding I can make of the online research I've conducted. I have visited exclusive Dell and Sony stores, as well as my local CompUSA and Best Buy, but they all pitch features I'm not sure I need or would ever use, and I really get a disgusted "car salesmen" feeling from them. If anyone can point me in a direction that has been a personal success or get me interested in a particular company/computer (Dell, HP, Sony, etc) for that price, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,
Sam
