| Cool new park
I'm not quite ready to release it yet. I'm going to have to widen the paths a lot before releasing it. But I'll tell you the story of the park. (Uses Bumbly Bazaar Scenario). Back in the 1970's, in Needles, CA, two hours south of Las Vegas, a farmer had a little market place in the middle of his farm, right by the Colorado River, which runs through it. By the 80's, he was losing money, because his crop demands were met by bigger nearby corporations, such as Sunkist. His market place didn't make him enough money either, so he mortgaged part of his land so that he could add a few rides to attract tourists from Las Vegas. In 1983, he had made plans to add a few rides. April 20th, 1984 marked the opening of this small amusement park. An Arrow log flume, called Emperor's Plunge, an Enterprise, a scramble called Desert Dance, and a small double out and back PTC wooden coaster. Many people from Las Vegas were invited to opening day, and even more showed up, all the way from Flagstaff and Los Angeles. The park was recieved very well, and according to the farmer, his marketplace made more money then the $10 admission tickets. He said "I've never seen so many people all be so hungry." In 1987, the park had made so much money that they were able to add a major roller coaster, SandStorm. This Arrow Looper was the most intense roller coaster in the Southwest United States, until some park in Los Angeles built a larger coaster from the same company. Also in 1987, the farmer had a small childrens area put in, which has a playground, spiral slide, space rings, bumper boats, and even a hedge maze which the farmer grew and built on his own. The year 1990 brought an Intamin rapids ride, as well as Pharoah's Ship, which swings out over the river. This was the first ride to be built on the California-Nevada border. In 1991, a new parking lot was added. The West Lot frequently overflowed, so a new lot was added east of the park, in Nevada. By '92, the park was so popular, the trams couldn't work fast enough to bring people from the east lot to the park entrance, so the farmer added an entrance on the east side of the park. A cable car system was added as well, to bring people to the rides. When all the mortgage was payed off, and the park was doing very well, the farmer decided to use the Southeast portion of his farmalnd to add some new rides. 1993 brought a Mack Bobsled, and a motion simulator. An Intamin Splash down and Huss Top Spin were added to the park in 1994. I'll tell you about the next ten years if I see people interested. Here's a spoiler: 1996 brings a B&M. Screenshots too! |

Very interesting story. I can't wait to hear the rest of it. What other kinds of coasters are there?

I remember seeing a park being fortolled and built in news through years, it had pictures for every month and all the new rides, it looked really cool, and this sounds really cool.

Here's the rest of the story. Yes, it's RCT2. With four rides on the Nevada side of the park, a big addition was needed to balance the park. The park's fourth coaster was added in 1996. Lunatic is a B&M Standup that goes 115 feet high. After a 100 foot drop, the coaster goes through a loop and a corkscrew, among many twists and turns. A Reverchon spinning Wild Mouse came to the park in 1998, called Froggy Frenzy. By this time, the south half of the park was turning to desert, as it hadn't been farmed on for years. The farmer decided to take care of the fertile land he still had, to keep the park beautiful. In 2000, the rest of the deserted area was filled up with a GCII coaster, Bandit. The first coaster to have Millenium Flyer trains, at only 90 feet tall, this coaster is fast, smooth, and delivers a lot of airtime. Also, the West Lot was extended around the park to the area around Bandit. The farmer made a business decision in 2003 to get out of the farming business. He cleared the rest of his land, and continued a small farm north of the park to support his marketplace. After the success of Bandit, the owner decided to add another airtime machine, so he invested all of three years profits into another B&M: Python. Python stands 180 feet tall, and has 9 points of airtime, two 270* carousels, and a 900* Helix. The success of another B&M led the owner to add a third. Roman Rampage is a flying coaster that opened as the heart of the new Roman section in 2005. The section also opened with bumper cars and a flat ride called Loki. The season brought more riches. 2006 opened with a new bridge over the river at the North edge of the park, to connect the Roman Section to the East Park Entrance. Along this connection was a brand new Carousel, a Zierer Tivoli - Small Model coaster, and a new queue line for Froggy Frenzy. Also, the scrambler, Desert Dance, was brought to the section, and renamed Jungle Boogie. Last, S&S built an air-launched terrain coaster around the Northeast part of the park, called Dynamite. The 2006 additions brought the park into debt. Despite the financial problems, the owner decided, in 2008, to add two Intamin rides, a Wooden Coaster, and a Gyro-Drop tower. These additions would bring the park to $17 million in debt. After 2008, the park will not make any major additions or changes until at least 2011, as long as the 2008 additions produce their expected profits. I'm still working on the park, but I'll have screenshots of the coasters alone, without their theming tomorrow. |

Roman's Rampage looks especially amazing. Not that any of the other's aren't. Are we going to get to see this all in one park?

^^Yea, I made the beginning like El Toro, thought it's not as tall. The lift hill is set to 20 MPH so it's like a cable lift. Then it goes into a Balder like layout, and then out into it's own little twister section. ^Yes, these are all in one park. I know, it's crazy that so many good coasters are in one park, but it's be like Cedar Point, coasters, but not many flats. Also, keep in mind the Intamin woodie doesn't exist, I'm just giving the park as it is in 2008. |

I like it, especially your El Toro like coaster.

You seem to like huge long brake runs, so do I. On the wild mouse, "froggy frenzy" was it, I would shy away from having flat expanses of track, especially in the beginning of a ride before the chain lift.

Froggy Frenzy is a typical Zamperla/Reverchon spinning wild mouse clone. Same design, height, etc. As for the long brake runs that I like, it's because that's realistic. The two hardest coasters to make would be Bandit, my GCII, and Dynamite, the Powderkeg like coaster, because I haven't been on either type of those two coasters. I'll releae the park sometime soon, for all of you to see. I'm currently re-doing some of the coasters.
