Does rct3 platinum work on vista

Dear friends,
I have so enjoyed theme parks this year and becoming a member of this board. I was recently told about Roller Coaster Tycoon and find the idea of playing a game where you manage or create a theme park exciting. However, I have Vista on my home pc. I have read web entries from differing places that say it will work on Vista and that it wouldn't work on Vista. Vista is not listed on the software but XP is and Vista is supposed to run XP stuff. I was just wondering if anyone here on this board is running RCT3 on Vista. Thanks if you can give me some help.

neil

Moved to the RCT section.

I've only played RCT3 on XP and never used Vista. Personally, I prefer RCT2 over RCT3 though. I find it much easier to use.

I run RCT3 on my laptop that runs Vista. It's the first part not the 2 expansions. Since the expansions are themeing expansion there should be no problems.

As for the older versions versions RCT2 works on Vista but RCT1 dose not.

Thank goodness. I ordered the platinum version. I had read one post on the web somewhere that said to install the main program, run it, install one expansion, run it, then install the last expansion and run it. That is supposed to make it work. However, so many other posts said it wouldn't work. I figured I would risk the $30.00 to find out. In the meantime I figured I would ask here as I await the program.

The only way to know for a fact when you buy it if it works, It will say games for windows on the top of the box, which im pretty sure the newer copies of RCT3 do.

There's only a few of us left aren't there? I also prefer RCT2, but I still liked RCT3.

I love RCT2 but my disk has vanished. I need to look for it, I know I made a copy somewhere.

I also prefer RCT2, even though it's been a while since I've played any of them. Better hope you have a high-end graphics card if you want to enjoy RCT3.

Installing them one at a time might not be a bad idea. Though I don't how it woudl affect the system adding both at once. the last update for RCT3 was to help it support the updates.
