| Banshee!
After looking at some awesome pics of Mantis' construction, I found a name for my B&M Hyper that is in the works. I wanted to make something different than the norm, so I created a curving first drop (still with plenty of air). The remainder of the ride will contain a 650*+ helix, many airtime hills, several overbanked turns, and a surprise ending. The ride will utilize the wooded, riverside terrain. The station is at the top of a bank that slopes down to the river, and although the lift is only 166 ft., the first drop is an enormous 240.5 ft. The ride has only just begun, with only a few hours of trackwork so far. Pics will come soon on my NLDC page, which is almost done. Current: Trackwork: 7% Terrain: 0% Supports: 0% Edit: The colors depicted on NLDC are not the ride's actual colors, as I have yet to decide. I'm open for suggestions.

Black green and purple sounds like a good color scheme. Though I haven't seen the NLDC scheme.

Here's the NLDC link: http://nldc.interfix.net/u124 And the colors are just the preset ones, I don't mess with them until I'm about halfway or unless I have a good idea. Edit: On an unrelated topic, I have a question about the new and much improved AHG v1.2. On the old AHG, the program would heartline based on the track color (black for no adjustment, green for lead-in to proper heartline, and red for lead-out from proper heartline). Now, when you try to use red to adjust the lead-out to the standard banked track, it simply sets the number of times you want to filter that segment. I want it to adjust the lead-out and not the filter settings. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? Someone?

Anyone have the answer to my above question? Anywho, new pictures are up with a color scheme. Comments on the ride/color scheme would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently working on a logo/cartexture too, which will be up sometime today. Trackwork: 85% (Track is completed but I have some smoothing, g-issues to work with, plus I still need to AHG it again) Terrain: 0% Supports: 0%

Now one of Buster's improvements was to include an *additional* color setting, the *rail* color to name it, which independently lets you control filtering (range 0-255, by red value. green & blue should be zero) hope that helps, redunzelizer

^Ah. Thank you. I was too ignorant to make sure I had fully read the instructions, I took rail for track. And Matt, the page is almost done, so check it out in maybe 5 minutes. Even with cable, the uploads are fairly slow.

Just in case you didn't know... Mantis was originally to be called Banshee. |

^Yep, that's why I've named it that, as seen in the first post. I'm thinking of using the original Banshee logo for the ride too. EDIT: All new pictures are up. Please comment on everything about the ride, except for its lack of supports, terrain, etc.

Yay for the colors! Yeah, this ride is the longest B&M Speed coaster, curretn stats are: 260.25 ft. lift (I had to add nearly a hundred feet to the bottom of the lift so the ride would make it, I originally had the MCBR at final brake height )240.5 ft. drop 84 mph top speed 11 airtime moments 5,897.93 ft. long 3 trains with 9 cars each(duh) Trackwork: 99% one bit of heartlining to do Terrain: 75% (trees still need to be placed, but terrain is done except for a tunnel) Supports: 5% (pre-lift and lift) I'm working as quickly as possible to have this done by the end of the contest. Originally it wasn't for the contest, but I just might be able to get it in. The only problem is that I'm going to be gone most of today and all of tomorrow, then I'm leaving on Wednesday through Sunday to go to Michigan (and MIA). So basically I have three days to finish this monster. Expect a fully completed (as in the way I really want it to look/ride) sometime in early to mid-August.
