1st track segment: how to make it straight?

This may sound dumb, but I can't get the first track segment on the editor completely straight. No matter what I do, there is always a slight kink in it. It's not a major deal, but it bugs me. I click exactly between the two points, yet it still has kinks. I then click slightly to the left, yet it still has a kink right at the end!

I'm really struggling with the editor. How long does it take to get used to?

Just create the first segment "somehow" by placing a second vetex. Set grid to a convenient distance (like 0.5m), turn grid on, move both vertices into desired places (these should then snap to the grid), then mark that segment and press "I"-key (== "make straight")

It might take you weeks, months or even years, depending on your efforts...

Press I, or Edit...Make Straight (both after highlighting the segment).

Thanks! I didn't know about the "I" make straight function. This has made my life a lot easier.

My next mission is to figure out banking...I'll worry about supports when I can get a decent layout in place. It's very useful having this forum for some advice!
