Elementary

Is there a Mac version of Elementary? If so, what is the name & more importantly, where would I find this.

No, sorry. Almost all the tools for NL are Windows based. I have heard of people dual-booting Mac's with XP though.

Yeah Mac users need to do it by hand, however, I think doing it by hand (Everything) makes your coaster a LOT better than doing it with elementary.

However, it takes a much larger amount of time to become skilled at handbuilding whereas it takes only a few days to get the hang of elementary and formulas, especially FVD. By using FVD and knowing the correct inputs and whatnot, you can pretty much have total control of the forces of your element as well as how it looks.

I can do all that, by hand.

^ Great, so can I. Tools help precision of designs.

Regardless, this thread was about WHERE tools can be found for Mac... Not IF you use them.

Yeah Kyle, there are things that you can do with Elementary that are very accurate to real life, and nearly impossible with handbuilding. There are many things you can do with handbuilding that you can't in Elementary, however if you want the most realistic ride possible, generally quality tooling is the way to go.

You can do anything in Elementary that you can do by hand. You just have to be exceptionally good at 3-D parametric equations.

Ok, I'll clarify what I said by noting that I meant with available formulas.

I just wanted to nit-pick. I know what you meant, and I think handbuilding is certainly faster than trying to draw up parametrics.

Sorry, but you simply cannot. In case you actually believe that you could do so, you have just rendered yourself absolutely clueless. Otherwise you would be a plain liar.

P.S. Nothing against handbuilding, it's an art by itself and anyone's handcrafting should be highly apprechiated!

One thing you should know about Kyle red is that he's very close minded...Don't mind him, whatever he says goes.
