NoLimits 1.7 Released!

I got back from taking a final tonight, and was greeted with the following email:

Quote:
The free NoLimits update 1.7 for Windows is ready to download.
Please note that this update only works with NoLimits 1.6,
it does not work with older versions.

Go here to download:
http://www.nolimitscoaster.com/Download/Download17Win/

What´s New in 1.7?
The major enhancements are three new coaster styles
and an AVI Export feature.

All new features at a glance:
- AVI Export
- New coaster style "Vekoma Minetrain without locomotive"
- New coaster style "Vekoma Minetrain with locomotive"
- New coaster style "Maurer X-Car"
- Support-Panel
- Supports can be colored individually (Support-Panel)
- Footers and beams can be rotated (Support-Panel)
- Support-Info bar
- New track "Hi Octane"
- New track "Steel Falcon"
- New track "Schwarzwald Express"
- New twisted inverted lift texture
- Transports min. acceleration limit now 0g
- Minimum freenode height now 0m
- Hide Transport-Device option in editor
- Tree rotation now the same in editor and simulator
- Improved Flyer cartexture (coloring of harness now works)
- Fixed a JPG loading bug in the terraformer

A note to Mac users: it will take a few more days until version 1.7 for Mac will
be ready.
Please be patient, it will not take long.

Sounds like an AWESOME update! Thanks Ole and the NL Dev team for getting this out.

Awesome news, I just downloaded it now.
Thank god for the individual support colour option, I was going to try and build a support structure for one of my coasters because i needed different colours at different sections.

Plus, gotta love the AVI export...no more using Fraps, just have to find a way to use it since there's no numpad 0 on my laptop

Wow! Yay!!!! My day just got better! I never knew about this because I thought they were never going to make an update until NL2! They didn't have it mentioned on their developers website as well. Thanks for providing the link!

^^If you go yo the main menu for the simulator, you can select "setup", and then "controls". Scoll down to the AVi option, click on it, and then hit whatever key you want to make control that function. You can do this for all of the in sim options.

AVI allows you to take videos in the simulator.

Sweet. That's totally freaking awesome. That's one thing I was hoping for ever since I first got NL.

YAY!! Dling it right now!

***EDIT***
So I took a look at the new tracks and I must say that I am dissapointed with the mine train. It looks great and has a sweet layout, but there was almost never a moment were there wasn't a collision with the trees.

One problem I found was that a 3 sec. 15 FPS clip is 93 Mb!

I'm going to love the AVI because now I'll be able to make DVD's from the AVI movies. Movies take up a lot of hard drive space. With Fraps program I found a 30 second video takes about 357 megabytes. You may have to invest your money in a new larger hard drive if you want to make movies. I have a 40 Gigabyte hard drive (that's 40,000 megabytes) and I have no problems making a 2 hour movie.

^That's really small for a hard drive...my laptop has a steady state flash-based drive that's 32 GB, and my main one is 200 GB.

If you plan on making movies, I would say at least 250 GB, maybe 500 Gb or even 1TB.

Anyway, sweet, free updates are always nice!

I just downloaded my copy of it, I'm glad it's a free update, unlike 1.6. When is 2.0 supposed to come out anyway?

highlight the support(s) you want to colour and press Z. The support toolbar opens up and you change the support type, rotate them, and change their colour. Took me a while to figure out too.
