Yeah, I noticed that. What was up with that? I didn't know what Bullz-Eye was, so I went to the website (I didn't click the ad, I went to the .com) and it's some site for men to pick up women or something.

bullzeye.com ad

this ad is unappropriate. It has a pic of some celeb w/ her tits barely out of the pic. It says Bullzeye.com, the man's portal to the web. It is at the top of the main boards page

Advertising on the internet is getting out of hand. The mods claim that this is a 'family website' yet they accept low class advertising like that despite numerous and continous complaints. This might not be there fault and they should consider switching ad companies becouse the current one isnt doing a good job, and half the stuff the people who read these forums would have no use for such as credit cards or casinos. I use free software call AdSubtract and Pow!, which eliminates most of the advertising from the internet. Some banners still get through such as that dmc? or whatever its called but its still worth using becouse all other ads are gone. If your intrested in those programs you can do a search or download.com. I hope the admin of this board will take care of the inappropriate ads for all the people that dont block ads.

We thought we got rid of all of those ads. Apparently, the found their way back into the rotation. We're aware of the situation and will try once again to rid ourselves of these ads. Thanks for letting us know.

Well, it's not porn, but man! How do these things keep getting through? I noticed one earlier today and PM'd Tom about it. Next time should I get a screenshot of the screen so I can prove it like edh101985 did or just tell ya? It kinda seems to be like bullz-eye.com is trying to get through all this stuff and keep advertising on your site. Is there a way you can tell them directly to not do that?

Oh, I just saw these two up there. I'll stop posting this stuff now and let you guys take care of it, but I just wanted you to know. I saw both in the two boxes for ads at the top of the forums.

Like Erik said, we're aware that the ads are back and are attempting to get rid of them once again. We do use different advertising sources, not all of which allow us to selectively eliminate ads. As haux pointed out, it's not a porn ad, but rather uses images like those posted to attempt to get you to visit the site, which itself is loaded with advertising. Unfortunately, it's because people do use ad-killers and removal programs while browsing ThrillNetwork.com that we have to continue having so many ads and popups -- to make up for those people that don't support the site in that way. If we had more click-thrus on ads, or sales from the Amazon.com ads that we have available, we'd be able to eliminate much of this advertising, which is our ultimate goal.

Believe me, we're not making a profit from this site, nor do we intend to. We're all volunteers with other committments on our time and actions, and we want to make ThrillNetwork.com the best amusement-related community possible. Please lend us your support, and support our ads!

Why do we have any ads at all?

So Coaster Forum can make money.

Not that it works, anyway, I bet 1% of people online actually sign up or buy something from a pop up ad, or normal ad

We're aware of the viagara ads and we're definately looking into it.

Post the URL of the ad next time you run into it so we can better resolve it. By that I mean right-clicking on the ad and copying the shortcut or URL to the clipboard.

I sent a PM to Erik about it. I just noticed them today and they sure don't seem like you'd want them on the site. One had a woman lying on top of a man with her bra coming off. I can hear some mothers yelling at their 12-year-olds right now...

You know, none of those links work. I think there'll have to be another way to get to the source of this problem.

No Those do not work.. If you can't get the link to work just click on the link and then copy the URL that it brings you to. Also you can try to get a link of the Picture itself (Right click on the image and choose properties to get that)

EDIT--- Now I've got a Impotence Ad... lol!

The Image URL is http://oz.valueclick.com/cycle?host=...age&noscript=1

http://st.valueclick.com/ad.s/a0053977.gif (Thats the Viagra Ad)

http://st.valueclick.com/ad.s/a0053973.gif (And Another)

http://st.valueclick.com/ad.s/a0053975.gif (I'm not paying $6 A Dose! Lol J/K )

http://st.valueclick.com/ad.s/a0053976.gif (No Viagra Doesn't work!)

http://st.valueclick.com/ad.s/a0053978.gif

http://st.valueclick.com/ad.s/a0053974.gif

Thats all of the Viagra Ads from that location.

It actually appears that almost all of the Banners coming from the http://st.valueclick.com/ad.s/ (It will change each time you visit) are Viagra/Impotence ad's.

They're not porn, but the ads themselves and the site they are advertising are not appropriate for this site. Most of our audience is under 18 and regardless of whether they think they're old enough for this stuff, their parents most likely think they're not. We're a family site, and we're trying to keep it that way.
