Look in polls, there are about 20 pointless polls in there started by Brooklyn Rider. It's getting rather annoying.

Greetings Folks.

Just having a horrible day at work. Decided that I was going to "do nothing" after lunch and came to the forums. I very rarely start any threads, so I posted a couple of legit ones. Once I posted a couple of polls, I just started thinking of ridiculous polls to post. I had seen so many and voted on so many really stupid things in the past, I figured I'll post some of my own. I pretty much thought they'd disappear as people ignored them, but I guess, stupid or not, people are responding.

I love the "Is BrooklynRider Insane?" thread. I really got a kick out of it. That's one I wish I could've voted in. Hope they don't ban me. I was surprised that people even had an opinion of me to begin with!

I went in and played with the threads in Polls to push mine back. I'm not too sure what the problem was other than I dominated the board briefly (which was something I hadn't considered). I can't say I regret any posts. I'm actually getting alot of folks who are saying they never laughed so hard. Granted, they are older posters who understand the tongue in cheek nature of what I did. I think some of the younger posters thought it was serious. Oh, well. DON'T BAN me. For no other than reason than I'm TOO OLD to be banned. But, if we're going to ban for stupid posts, I've got a long line in front of me.

I have got to say that I am enjoying this site a little less in the last couple of months b/c I too think the spamming has gotten out of control.

Look, I find this site to be a great form of entertainment. And I entertained myself a little with my posts. Granted, I now see the problems that "mass posting" causes, but I hardly had "spamming" in mind when I did it. I'm not some twelve year old trying to push my way up and get a better avatar. I have no personal attachment to these or any posts, but clearly there are some rabid members who are determined to dictate how, when, where, and who posts. I certainly am not interested in a lot of things posted here and I find some things to be completely inane. I made two attempts to move other posts up to the top wasting, in my oipinion, a great deal of my time. Yesterday, it was most definitely "my problem" that I had posted a bunch of polls in such a short time frame. Today they have been pushed back twice. If they are dominating the boards, it is due to the last poster - not me. If people weren't interested there'd be zero posts in them. If the forum thinks they are offensive or inappropriate, then they should delete them. I had time to waste yesterday and I wasted it here. If I pointed out every crap posting, we'd be beating everyone up. I guess I screwed up some people's forum regimented routine. I'm not sure that is such a bad thing.

We already got to the bottom of the problem, it's solved, and it probably won't happen again. I'm closing this to prevent further discussion on a matter that is over and done with.
