Fake Members

Im really getting tired of all these fake members...Semskaterboy, coke cool, and now pepsi cool....cant their be a penalty for doing this? It is so obvious...they try to mispell easy words and think they are so damn sneaky...when they are really not fooling anyone. Can any mods help with this matter?

Okay whatever. Those people are here for humor. If you don't like their humor, then too bad, you don't have to go cause trouble. TN has a stigma of being childish and immature, nothing is going to change that so we might as well embrace it and make love to it.

First of all, I see these members as being the exact opposite...check out other sites for immaturity at its best...and second, its not funny, and its not humor, its freakin stupid and should not be allowed....excuse me for trying to keep these boards clear of that BS.

I'll agree with Pepsi Cool, but if you don't take people like Tobster and Coke Cool so seriously, you get a great laugh from them.

Meh, the mods aren't going to do anything, those members actually deserve to be banned. Personally, I'd reccomend just using your ignore list, like I've started doing. I like it enough to possibly expand it.

the problem with the ignore button is you miss pieces of the convo so you have no idea whats going on.

Exactly CedarPoint_Mark.....do we really want to keep this reputation or maybe try to improve it.....our community was fine until all these kids thought, hey, it would be really funny to sign on as a new user and act like a complete idiot! If it's me, then it is a joke, it's not a credible roller coaster site, I've complained before but I kind of stopped lately. I am not putting this site down that much, I'm just saying there are a fair share of people who don't know how to type, some immature people, and crap like that all over the boards, but I've embraced that, and even the annoying kids are funny and they make this place interesting.

Ban coke cool, or Tobster1 and what does that accomplish? It'll just make this place more dull. I have over 1000 posts and I am still here because every once and a while there is a post that catches my attention and it amuses me. You want to kill all the funny.

This place can never be what thispagecannotbedisplayed is, it won't have all serious theme park discussions, we have a ton of jokes and spoofs and flame wars, and I like it. Now shut up.

First off, if you want to be part of TN just to goof off, you're in the wrong spot. You either participate on the site (with the serious stories/forum topics and maybe share a few funny things or play a game), or you shouldn't participate at all. It's an easy one way ticket away from TN if you ask me. None of the mods on here tolerate pure joke threads, like some seem to love doing.

Second, we are dealing with these "fake members" one at a time. Tobster's been banned, and we can't tolerate the crap from the cola brothers as well as semskaterboy any longer.

Anyone that thinks it's funny to post those 'ever so clever' attempts at antagonising, abusing or wasting the time of other people Diesel. It isn't quite so amusing when you're the target of those posts let me assure you. As Moderators we will do all we can to have those members removed whose sole purpose, despite warnings, is to continue to abuse this site. If other people don't like the fact that we will not tolerate bullies or idiots, then I'm afraid I can only suggest they re-read Steven's post above.

i completly under stand what you are talking about, i have my own forums that get those bogus members, and i used to just post stuff here for no reason, but i've decied to stop that, and i know how much the forum takes up my sql size so thats also why i am not posting for 1 or 2 word posts.

I'm all for getting rid of bullies or idiots, whose SOLE purpose is to cause trouble, i.e. Pepsi Cool, or that just go overboard in bashing people, i.e. Tobster. But banning people for mispelling words, i.e. Coke Cool, is something I'd expect GestapoNetwork to do, not ThrillNetwork. He seemed like he wanted to contribute positively to the boards, but as he admitted, he was 13.

I'd bet that there are parts to the Coke Cool saga that could have contributed to his being banned, of which I'm not aware. But what was he guilty of outside of mispelling words, and aggrevating people with little patience?

I'm sure the reply I'll get will be something like, "If you don't like it, then leave" or "re-read Steven's post above." So try to suprise me here.
