I was updating my gadv count, and I realized that there is really no such ride as Loggers Run. I'm looking at the map, and there is only Poland Springs Plunge and Saw Mill Log Flume. There is no Loggers Run, so I think its should be deleted from the database.

Anybody? I think the Great Adventure and Stroland stuff should be fixed, it's actually misleading (the gadv one).

meowcoaster,

If you explain what the problem is I'll be able to take care of it. Also, are Poland Springs Plunge and Saw Mill Log Flume in the database?

Just a note: You have White Lightnin' listed as operating at Carowinds from 1977-1998. It closed in 1988.

Just thought i would point that out.

I deleted the second listing. This did however affect a few peoples ride counts. If someone had both rides listed in their ride count then I deleted the listing for the second ride but kept the once for the first ride. If someone only had the second ride in their ride count then I changed it to be the first ride.

Also, I made the change Carowinds mentioned.

Thanks!

Just a note. Thunder Creek Mountain has the longest drop on a log flume in the world, and one of the only terrain log flumes. I do not have the stats for it though.

http://www.thrillnetwork.com/ride_vi...annonball.html

The Cedar Creek Cannonball train came from cedar point and it was installed in 1993.

The Joker was a prototype magic carpet.

The water scooters were destroyed in 1999 in a major flood, but they are still in the notes for Dorney Park.

^ Yes, they are in the database, but Loggers Run is as well, while it does not exist. Either it has been removed, or renamed to one of hte other two log flumes, but it should only be those two log flumes, no others.

http://www.thrillnetwork.com/ride_vi...ggers_run.html

Also, I mean Astroland. They have some flat rides that should be in the database, because they are main rides.

All of the rides can be found in another post of mine:

Quote:
Just something with Astroland, they have the following flat rides that should be added:

http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Inde...owersurge.html
http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Inde.../topspin2.html
http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Inde...nterprise.html
http://www.flatrides.com/Ride%20Inde...reakdance.html
There are some other rides in the adult section http://www.astroland.com/rides.html , but I can't find them on www.flatrides.com

The Loggers Run info is for SFGAm. It appears to have been added to GAdv accidently. The ride at SFGAdv is (Saw Mill) Log Flume. It is an Arrow Log Flume which was the first to use the turntable loading station. It was the longest flume in the world when it open in July of '74.

Poland Spring Plunge was added in 1975 to help capacity as the Log Flume was the most popular ride at GAdv opening year. PSP is an Arrow Hydraflume that now uses only one drop and has had its hump removed like most other Hydraflumes. It has been called Hydroflume, Moon Flume, Ride the Rapids, Splash Down, Irrawady Riptide and Riptide in its past.

The Space Shuttle is the only ride missing from the lineup while The Condor has moved to SFGAm. Other past rides include:

Pendulum (HUSS frisbee): Moved to SFGAm
Enterprise (HUSS version)
Close Encounters/Hodgepodge/Centrifuge G-Force (Eli Bridge scrambler): moved to SFoG
Swabinchen/ El Sombrero (Mack Huly Gully)
Pretty Monster (Schwarzkopf Squid/Monster II)
Pretty Monster (HUSS Troika)
Panarama Wheel/Little Wheel/Lil' Wheel
Tilt-a-whirl (Sellner)
Fender Bender (Bumper cars)
Traffic Jam (Bumper cars)
Swiss Bobb (Schwarzkopf Bayern Kurve)
Matterhorn/Spin Out (Mack): Moved to former SF waterpark in FL
Pirates Flight (Zamperla Lolli Swing): Moved to Geauga Lake
Time Warp (Chance double inverter)
Spinnaker (Zamperla Polyup)
Grand Prix (race cars)
Calypso (Mack)
Monster Spin (Schwarzkopf Squid/Monster II)
Joust-a-Bout (Schwarzkopf Chinese Junk)
Jumpin' Jack Flash (HUSS Jump)
Evolution (Nauta Bussink): Moved to SFSTL
Woodland Express/Six Flags Great American Rail Road (Chance C.P. Huntington)

I think at least the current rides for the parks should be fixed. We could go around fixing all flat rides of the past, but it's so hectic. i think the current rides, like Top spin and Power Surge in Astroland, or Logger's Run in GAdv should be fixed.

I believe "Pittsburg Plunge" should be changed to Pittsburgh Plunge on the Kennywood page. Just a small spelling error.

/\ No. That's how it's really spelled. Apparently, the park had it named so that it would reflect back on how Pittsburgh used to spell. The ride is apart of the Lost Kennywood themed area - a tribute to parks "lost in the past" and are now long gone.

La Ronde things

At La Ronde there's a vekoma corkscrew coaster that's listed as Super Manage but the real name is Super Manege. Also a nice random piece of info to add to the description of Le Monstre (a woodie at the same park, mnfctd. by William Cobb) is that it's the tallest twin wooden coaster.

Since you have a Water Country USA page, you might as well have all the rides there besides just 2 of them. Here are the missing rides...
-Hubba Hubba Highway
-Jet Scream
-Big Daddy Falls
-Wild Thang
-Atomic Breakers
-Surfer's Bay
-Lemon Drop
-Rambling River
-Malibu Pipeline
-Meltdown
-Peppermint Twist

Would it be possible to put a link on the ride pages in the database that says "update ride" or something like that. So you can directly to update information instead of going through the Database link.

It's a little hard to find the first time.

We have been needing more Water Parks lately. If someone can post some info on possibly a waterpark they went to that wasn't posted, we could get them done much more efficiently.

Are you still wanting waterparks submitted? If so, I can certainly add a couple that aren't listed there currently. Will try to do that later today or tomorrow if you'd like.

Also made some ride submissions for Myrtle Beach. There's currently a ride listed as Power Surge there, but it's listed as a rapids ride. Their rapids ride is already listed (it's called Hydro Surge), and as far as I know there isn't a power surge at the park, so it needs to be removed.

Don't suppose there's any hope for fair or carnival rides to be submitted, is there?

Oh, also, the edit a ride and edit a park links are still reversed.

Wild Bull at Carowinds is listed in current rides and it should be listed in Past Rides.

Same thing goes for Frenzoid. It was removed in 2005.

Also another past ride was "Oaken Bucket" which was a rotter that the park had until the late 80's.
