I just saw Open Water last night, what a great movie.

It was probably one of the most depressing/scary/disturbing movies i've ever seen.

I watched Bullet Proof Monk last night.

It could have been better, but not as bad as the reviews said either.

A fun little movie overall with some good martial arts action.

3 out 5 stars.

I believe the first song in Kill Bill Vol. 2 was an original. I only say that cause I havent heard it anywhere else, as opposed to the other which were all from spaghetti westerns. And he is indeed still alive.

I agree, this was a great movie. I thought the moments they showed them doing everything was good and important. It made us care about the charactors involved. This was a well made movie, especially considering the budget was so low.

I just saw the Pianist, and it hit me like no other movie has. The ultra realistic violence scenes about the germans killing the jews proved too much for some, as my friend and my mom left the room. One of the best, if not most disturbing movies I've ever seen. Reccomended for everyone.....

Was this the movie with Macauly Culkin? The best part in that movie was when he says don't ******* with me. That was great, loved that part.

I love Roman Polanski. He's one of my favorite directors. Is life is such a sad story though. Chinatown, Rosemary's Baby, A Knife in the Water, the Pianist. All great.

i just got back from a 7 day cruise around the carrabean and i got a few new movies in. first, on the plane going to houston, i tried to watch Johnson Family Vacation but it was just really stupid and not funny so i didnt really finish it. it just seemed like a bad black person's remake of national lampoons vacation.

next, on the ship they showed Along Came Polly. i thought it was ok. it had its funny moments but not much more. i dont like jennifer aniston as an actress one bit and i think ben stiller is much better as his crazy roles (dodgeball, heavyweights, zoolander) instead of his romantic normal roles. it was still pretty funny.

next i watched Shrek 2 on the room tv. being the number 3 movie on the all time US box office list, i was expecting something a little more. i think the first one was a little better and a lot more funny. with the reviews it got when it came out, i was expecting it to be a lot better. i think there were too many characters in it. the first one had simply shrek, donkey, fiona, and lord farquad while this one had way too many new ones like fiona's parents, the fairy god-mother, prince charming, and puss in boots. i think the only one that was good was puss in boots because he made the scenes he was in funny. it was still a very good movie, i just expected it to be better.

after the cruise was over, we went back to houston (from the port of galveston) and we went to the theater and saw Garden State. my mom really wanted to see this since we're from new jersey and since it takes place and is all about new jersey. again, it had its funny parts and i wasnt really expecting to like it that much since i knew its not really my type of movie. it didnt disappoint me or go past my expectations. i dont think it needed the sexual scene because it made it uncomfortable to see with my parents. but anyways, not a bad movie, it has a good script and i commend zach braff on a well made first movie.

finally, on the flight comming home i watched Mean Girls. i hate to say it but i think this was my favorite of the five movies i saw on this vacation. maybe its just me, being a boy in high school seeing all the crap that goes on with the girls in my class made it much better for me but i really enjoyed this movie. it was very funny and....i just liked it a lot.

now for the ratings...

Johnson Family Vacation - 3/10
Along Came Polly - 6/10
Shrek 2 - 7/10
Garden State - 7/10
Mean Girls - 8.5/10

I saw the end of some movie, Shark Attack 3: Megalodon. It had the worst plot, worst effects of any movie. Period. It was sooo funny watching it. Let me know if anyone else has seen this movie.

I agree. Although I'd probably give it a 7 out of 10.

The only thing is, it's for teenagers and above IMO. I'm sure many parents took their 8 year olds because it had Lindsay Lohan only to discover it had a lot of sexual jokes in it.

I thought it was a pretty funny movie, I saw at the $1.50 theatre, and I wouldn't have minded paying matinee $6.50 for that one. It was worth it.

Last full movie I saw was Murder by Death like 2 weeks ago. I don't watch many movies, but Murder by Death is awesome. One of the funniest movies ever made.

I didn't really like that movie. I absolutely loved the book and they did the best job they could with making it close to it, but I was dissapointed.

I like the movie, its got a good message/theme. With those kind of movies though you have to be able to sit down and appreciate the story.

Last movie I saw was Troy on campus. I thought the movie was okay but nothing spectacular. I wouldn't sit through it again. Alittle too long for the type of movie that it was. Now LotRs I'd sit thru again.

Before that I saw Mean Girls and that was hilarious. I suggest that everyone see it if you appreciate a good comedy.

I went to see Hero for a third time, every bit as good as the first two viewings. All martial arts films need to be this good.

I finally got around to renting the two Evangelion movies. I have the series boxset and have watched it through twice and love it, so I was obviously dying to see how it all ended. I was aware that most of the first movie was a recap of the series so I wasn't let down by it at all like some people were when it came out. I enjoyed the new information they added which helps to further unravel the incredible complexity of the series. The final part which was completely new material was awesome, I love how for the movie the violence was stepped up quite a bit (ie. real blood, we actually see it and not hear the violence) and Misato's ass-kicking was great. Some of the new revelations blew me away and I will anticipate the final movie to own me just as much.

As a stand-alone film it doesn't work at all, but as a conclusion to the series it is worthy. Required viewing for any Eva fan.

***1/2 out of *****

Note: I watched the subtitled Japanese version, some of the English voices are good but a couple of them (namely Asuka and Shinji) get on my nerves. The Japanese voices are much better.

Well, that happens when parents don't look to see what kind of material is in a film.
