| | Once again I'm stumped Andrew (from what you said about me being stumped)
You might have Pop up blocker stopping most of the sites you are trying to visit, just a guess. |

| | | WooHoo. Thank you so much Andrew. It's fixed now. I had to put up with that for 3 weeks. I should have posted the question weeks ago. Thanks again Andrew.

| | | Did you scan for viruses? That might be the problem. |

| | | I don't know what the cause of this is, and my idea probably won't work, but try uninstalling RCT2, then scan your registry for RCT2 values delete those values but be very careful with what you delete because you can cause some serious damage, also scan for the name of the crack/creator of the crack and delete those values as well. once again be very careful.
Not sure if that will work. If someone can think of something else I'd suggest posting it before he starts screwing with his registry.

| | | I remember trying to download the RCT2 no cd patch and I did end up with a virus. Since I have Mcafee running all the time it quickly identified it and got rid of it so I didn't get to see the affects it would have on my computer. I suggest, if you don't have a virusscanner on your computer, you go to Mcafee.com and use their free virus scanner. I don't know if Norton offers one. |

And yes, norton offers a free fifteen day trial (saved my ass on more than one occassion) at www.symantec.com

| | | well i think the case i solved. i ran a virus scan (a free online one) and i came up with lots of files infected with a so called "backdoor.sdbot" virus. i looked up on this virsu and came up with this: SdBot is a family of backdoor remote, malicious administration software. This family of viruses allows an evil-doer to control victim computers remotely by sending commands via IRC channels. so it looks like i found out what the problem was. i'll be making sure to get rid of this virus immediatly

| | | You should consider purchasing a virus scanner. I suggest getting Mcafee. I have had experience with both Mcafee and Norton and I am much more pleased with Mcafee's service and performance. |

| | | I have a problem with IE. Every few times I open a new IE it makes two popups (with ads). I have a popup blocker(Google Toolbar) that blocks everything but these two. Ive tried everything. Hijackthis, Adware, Virus Scan, and Spybot Search and destroy. I'm stumped, and they seem to have gotten worse lately. Very annoying. Anyone have any suggestions or a solution? |

| | | It sounds like you have adware that is evading the pop-ups. Keep track of what you've installed over the past several months and uninstall it.
That includes other toolbars (not Google), games, little add-ons, strange programs that they ask you to install, etc. |

| | Stop up popper professional at www.download.com is great, you should try that instead. It blocks everything. |

| | | Surprised no one has mentioned your internet settings. Go into IE settings (assuming you are the only user) and set everything to high and prompt on all cookies. That's how I've got things set. I also have Pop-up Stopper (Free Edition), Spybot S&D, Adaware and Norton Anti-Virus 2004. I haven't had any spy/adware in a few days!!
