I'd like to go to Lolla, but its a bit to far away for me. Depending on the lineup, I may try and head up to Virgin fest in august.

Anyone seeing the Honda Civic Tour this year? Saw it last year for The Academy Is... and Cobra Starship.

Panic! is the headliner this year.. but The Hush Sound is opening for them (saw them a few months ago and was like 5 feet from the stage <3 )

My sister likes The Hush Sound, well at least 2 years ago I knew she was listening to them. I'm entering a contest on my local alternative station site.

More importantly, Motion City Soundtrack and Phantom Planet are also on the tour.

I wont be heading to the actual tour, but I'm going to bamboozle, and all the bands on the tour are supposed to be their on sunday (still unofficial, but its been hinted at multiple times).

Radiohead also just released their first set of tour dates, they are coming to charlotte on a friday night! I may try and make it, but its the weekend after bamboozle... sooo IDK if I can convince my parents to let me go out on another road trip, or even afford it for that matter.

I really hate to bring this up but this came as quite a shock to me. I thought the whole Backstreet Boys/Nsync boy band thing was over but to my suprise i just found out that the BSB are still touring but not in the US. Cities listed were

Feb 16 Tokyo, JPN Tokyo Dome
Feb 17 Tokyo, JPN Tokyo Dome
Feb 20 Boondall, AUS Brisbane
Feb 20 Aspley, AUS Brisbane
Feb 22 Aspley, AUS Sydney
Feb 22 Sydney, AUS Acer Arena
Feb 23 Melbourne, AUS Rod Laver Arena
Feb 25 Jakarta, IDN Ritz Carlton
Feb 29 Jakarta, IDN

Did anyone else know they were still on tour? I wonder how old these kids are now.

^ They even put out a CD last year.

When I was in Spain last summer.. A lot of the parks would play the older Backstreet songs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backstr...:_2007-present

All That Remains on Warped Tour? Holy ****, now I have to go. And I though Reel Big Fish was going to be my draw.
Edit: Damn, Bouncing Souls' last tour date is one day before the scheduled NY show.

I tried to purchase Radiohead tickets last night. I was literally about 40 minutes to late. They sold out. Man that was disappointing.

I got my Jimmy Eat World/Paramore ticket for Taj Mahal Atlantic City 5/2. They also play Bamboozle the next night. I realized that this festival was at Giants Stadium. I'd like to thank the Giants (I know really the NJ Sport Expo Authority) for screwing up a more smaller local venues possibility for NJ/Philly/NYC.

Shame that a good portion of my favorites aren't playing Phoenix, so I'll be (possibly asking someone to go out with me, wish me luck) going to Honda Civic Tour, where I get to see two of my favorite bands, rather than Warped where I'd see a load that I won't recognize.

I'm pumped to see Radiohead. I'm going to the show in Charlotte.

I like some of the bands at Warped Tour (especially Norma Jean) so I'll probably check that out for the first time in a couple years.

That sucks. I was pumped up, I waited and tried buying them first thing they were available.

I would have gone to the show in Bristaw. VA, but I'm going out of the country with family the day before, so I had to go with Charlotte where I'm gonna road trip that junk.

Got any extra tickets lying around? haha.

The DC show was insane, it sold out in 10 hours. at the same venue Linkin Park didn't sell out this summer on the project revolution tour... (it got really close, but there were a few lawn tickets left). Shows how crazy Radiohead has gotten in the past years.

but really, if anyone in your party backs out, call me. haha. Where are you guys sitting? lawn, or did you go for the good stuff?

Yeah we went with lawn tickets. My funds are running low so I figured I'd just go with that.

If the other guy bails for any reason I could definitely let you know. I dunno how likely it is thought because we're both extremely excited since we've never been able to see them before.

You could check out stubhub.com, normally their prices aren't too much higher then face value.

Thanks, and I will check that site out.

Edit: 70 bucks for lawn tickets... Crud. I had been checking some other sites earlier, and the best I have been able to find is 60 bucks, which I can't really afford at the moment sooooo no go. I guess I'll just keep an eye out for some.

Sorry for the double post but...

Quick question to anyone out there! how reliable is Ebay for tickets... I've found a potential set I may try and bid on, but I have never done it before. Are there anyone loopholes I should look at for? The seller has a 100% positive feedback with four people giving feedback, so that seems like a good sign.

One thing that kind of has me paranoid is the fact that it always list them as "Tix" instead of tickets... perhaps I am just over analyzing. haha.

So, what is anyone's opinion out there on the situation?

I've purchased tickets on ebay before. Mostly for stuff like basketball games and such where season ticket holders put theirs up at lower then individual game rates. I've had nothing but good experiences with it.

Well, Since last summer, me and my friends had been planning on attending a large destination festival somewhere here in the US. After waiting and hearing dates of the festivals and rumored lineups (and actual ones) we had decided that Lollapalooza in Chicago was our most likely candidate. So a couple weeks ago we went ahead and got reservations at a very nice looking hostel about a block and a half from the festival in downtown Chicago. Tickets have already gone on sale, but we waited to see the lineup before dishing out the money for tickets. Well, the official lineup is supposed to be announced monday, but a local Chigaco paper has "leaked" part of the lineup already!

Quote:
“Art-rock giants Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails, the reunited Rage Against the Machine, Jack White’s side project the Raconteurs and hometown heroes Wilco and Kanye West will headline the main stages on Aug. 1-3.
The Raconteurs, Wilco and West will each be making their second appearance at the reinvented destination festival. Other repeaters among the more than 100 acts on this year’s bill are Gnarls Barkley, the Black Keys, Broken Social Scene, G. Love & Special Sauce, Blues Traveler and Mates of State.
Quite a few of the other acts — including many of the most promising — have earlier performed at Chicago’s two independently produced music festivals, Pitchfork and Intonation. These include Bloc Party, Cat Power, Stephen Malkmus, Girl Talk, Kid Sister, Office, the Cool Kids, Battles, the Go! Team, Jamie Lidell and Grizzly Bear.”
wow.

I am very excited now! on top of this, Gogol Bordello has also confirmed themselves. with that confirmation, thats about 25 confirmed bands, and lolla has over a hundred perform every year... So this lineup can do nothing but get better!

And plus, I'll still get to see Radiohead after missing them in Charlotte!

This should be a great weekend!

I just came back from Jimmy Eat World and Paramore at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. It was a great show, like old times. Where did the time go I wonder? Last time I saw them in 2004 or 05 I was quite disappointed to have seats. Jimmy shows are meant for GA standing. The set list was perfect with songs from Chase this Light, Clarity, Bleed American and Futures. I love "For Me this is Heaven" but didn't mind not hearing it tonight to hear "Hear You Me" for the first time I ever saw it performed live. I begged in past tours to hear this song. I creeped my way between the waves of moving people to get quite close to the front. I got compliments from some girls for hitting the little parts of the song found on the cd. I generally know the words to most of the songs. I'm glad I learned the set list ahead of time. It matched up with what the rest of the tour was.

Paramore was cool. Usually I don't like pale girls but I like red heads. I liked this girl. I didn't google her yet but she looked 22. Dear and the Headlights was the very first band.

I was impressed with Jimmy going to Lowell, Mass and Bloomsburg U in Northern PA on their tour. That's a nice treat for them up there. I've seen Jimmy before in Camden at the Tweeter Center(least favorite, detested), Asbury Park Convention Center(Classic), and Penn State Student Center Lawn(Unforgettable).

After the show I gambled a few bucks and walked out to the Boardwalk. The Steel Pier right outside the Taj Mahal was closed. I expected it to not be open since we didn't reach Memorial Day yet. It was so foggy on the way out I could not see the Borgata. You could say forget it about seeing Harrahs like you usually could.

I saw two really good indie bands yesterday and last Saturday respectively.

On 4/26 - Down By Avalon

I'm a bit biased, as the lead singer is a friend (and enthusiast too). www.downbyavalon.com.

They released their first CD back in October and I must say that I really enjoy it, and this was my first time seeing them live and they were really good.

Last night - Lindy Dobbins and the Red Velvet Manx
http://www.lindydobbins.com/

A friend of mine from high school that I just found on facebook, plays base for this female fronted (guitar and lead vocals) band that plays the Charlotte area. I really enjoyed them as well.

We were supposed to see Reverend Horton Heat last week, but the show got postponed to December. While we may not be in Indy by then, They'll be in Knoxville in November, so we should be able to catch them one of those two places.

And of course, we'll be making our annual Buffett pilgrimage in a couple of months

I saw Honda Civic Tour here in Phoenix, Panic surprised me with how well they actually performed their set, but Motion City was still the best band there.

I fear Panic will suck live, I've only ever heard bad reviews of them live.... But being a Hush Sound fan it makes it worth it for me.. Even if Civic tickets were 4 times the price as when I saw THS last year :|

Gah... Just got back.
I wonder who's bright idea it was to have an outdoor show next to the ocean in New England May? (Its 42*s right now...)
So besides the cold and the wind... The Hush Sounds..sound was way too high. Such a big let down after seeing them last summer... Panic was cool (Fall Out live is better)

Oddly.. They didnt have a pit area or anything.
