I need to start looking into tours for the summer.

I went to the Rise Against show here in Toronto last night. The 3 opening bands sucked balls, but Rise Against was awesome.
They put on a stellar performance and played for nearly 2 hours. It was also Rise Against's biggest headlining crowd to date with over 3000 people in attendance. The crowd was absolutly nuts!
It was one of the funnest concerts I have been to in a long time.

That's awesome. 3,000 people? Damn, that seems like a lot for being in Ontario.

It was a pretty big crowd for the venue, but Toronto has a pretty big rock/punk/metal crowd. So its not all that uncommon to see 'smaller' bands get large crowds up here. But then again, some bands will come to town and have like 7 people show up, haha.

I found out 3 Doors Down, Breaking Benjamin, and Silvertide are having a concert at my college!!!! I can't wait, its gonna be awesome. And since I go to the school, it will only be $20. I really like 3 Doors Down, and I just recently heard the song "So Cold" by Breaking Benjamin that I really like. I never heard of Silvertide though.

Last night I went to the Taste of Chaos concert here and Toronto and it was pretty sweet. Lots of bands, lots of beer, just an overall fun night, lol.
I went mainly to see KillSwitch Engage but I enjoyed almost every band except for The Used.

My next concert is a Rise Against show on March 19th. I can't wait.

that concert was in omaha 3-17-05 and a bunch of my friends went to it, i wish i would have gone because i love my chemical romance and really llike the used's latest cd, i dont know if i like the other bands there

anyway i coouldnt make it bbecause i had to wor, but i wish i could have gone - "the concert rocked, the bands were so good and it was so much fun. the used was my favorite part, except for the part where i body surfed, that was amazing. the concert was off the hook" - my friend chrissy. i dont really like gothic people which would be a downside for me going to that concert, chrissy said there were tons of goth people there and they, well, they kinda scare me. everyone that i know who went though is cool and not goth and it would have been a great time to hang out at that concert

WHY DID I HAVE TO WORK?!?!?!!?!

theyre coming to omaha and bunch of my friends are going because they think theyre gonna play their old stuff...thats bs - maybe one or two old songs if theyre lucky

im not really a concert type kid, i wouldnt really go to one unless i heard something about it like what it was like from a person who saw it in another town first, or if it was a band i absolutely love. i dont like the atmosphere of it, if it was rock i wouldnt like headbanging, and rap i wouldnt like gangstas and ive seen rap concerts on tv, andt hey just arents that great

i would go to these band's concerts though:
outkast
kanye west
linkin park
jay - z
keane
if i think of more ill post them

You probably would have liked most of the bands at the concert if you had gone. Except for maybe Killswitch Engage, they are a bit 'heavier' sounding.
Though in my opinion, The Used and My Chemical Romance were the worst performing bands there with Killswitch Engage being the best.

Last show I went to was Ben Folds with Ben Kweller opening. My next concert will be The Get Up Kids in Chicago. It's their last tour which sucks but I am still expecting a good show.

Alexisonfire didn't play at that show.....
The three opening bands were The Fullblast, Something (can't remember the name) and Closet Monster.

And I finally got my ticket for the Underoath in the mail today...

I think ticketmaster is a complete ripoff, charging over $5 in service charges on a $15 ticket!

I saw Marc Broussard in Louisville two weeks ago. It was an awesome show. The opening act, Will Hoge, was excellent as well. I'm going to see O.A.R tomorrow night. I also plan on going to see Jimmy Buffet again in August in Indy.

They put on an amazing show but it started too late and lasted too long....I'm so tired right now

That just seems like a lot of people for a punk show period, no matter what the location. I usually go to detroit for concerts and last time I saw Rise Against they played with Bad Religion and there might have been 350-400 people there.

Awesome, how was the Folds/Kweller show? I wish they had come to Detroit.

My last show was the Suicide Machines whom I have seen more times then I can count. The opening band was local. There are a lot of great bands I want to see coming here within the next couple of months..I hope to see these ones:

The Decemeberists
Wolf Eyes
Animal Collective
And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead
Eisley
Weezer

I'm not sure if I will be able to afford them all though.

Crap....already sold out here too.

Curious, not that I support what they do, but has anyone ever bought tickets from a scalper?

Not for a concert, but plenty of times for sporting events. Never had any problems with them. You should try a ticket broker before you resort to scalpers though.

What do you mean by a ticket broker? A different ticket outlet?

Just to check the stereotype your roomate is either fat or asian, right?

I've never bought from a scalper outside of a concert but I have used Ebay quite a few times, I guess thats kind of an online scalper. I've never had any problems though.

The price is almost always raised a bit. I'm not sure if its illegal or not but people get away with it. Im considering going with these tickets for weezer: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

Well I don't know if anyone read my quick review, but I went to Green Day with My Chemical Romance on the 16th...it was awesome. I missed Slipknot's tour when they came to Tampa, if I had known they were here I wouldn've went.

I just saw The Juliana Theory and Hot Rod Circuit. Hot Rod Circuit was excellent, and the Juliana theory was pretty good as well. I'm also going up to Philly to see the Get-Up kids for there second to last concert ever, so that should be pretty good.

I saw the Fiery Furnaces last week (Milhouse is probably the only one who knows of them). I was extremely impressed. They have the best energy live out of any band I have ever seen.
