Thanks, I've always liked the more indepth music. A lot of that older stuff has so much to listen to while a lot of the new stuff is just a simple melody. I don't understand what make it so popular.

Watkin's Glen Summer Jam must of been an amazing show too. It would of been worth going to just for the Dead's second encore. I have to get a recording of that show. Can't beleive I don't have one yet (at least of The Band's set).

I bought Panic! At the Disco tickets this morning for my girlfriend. Luckily they moved to a bigger venue so I was able to get tickets (previously sold out). They're not the best tickets, but she's happy.

30 Seconds to Mars also announced another Toronto date so I'm gonna be buying those tickets this weekend.

Yes, I'm going with her too.
We're not to happy about the opening bands though.
The concert is at the Molson Ampitheatre at Ontario Place so we get to make a whole day of it...rides, waterslides, mini golf, paddle boats, etc

Opening bands are Dresden Dolls and Hush Sound.
I've only heard of Dresden Dolls because my step-sister is always talking about them.

Well, I am mad to find out that Mariah Carey isn't coming to Charlotte in THE ADVENTURES OF MIMI: THE VOICE, THE HITS, THE TOUR. All the people I like never come here! What a shame, I would love to see her and would pay good money to do so, too!!

I got my tickets for the 311, The Wailers, and Pepper show here on August 26th this week. I'm 5 rows back, dead center so it should be pretty fun. Its the 7th I'm seeing 311, which is really ridiculous seeing as how I've never even gone to another band's concert.

I'm a little dissapointed in the rest of the Atlanta concert options for the summer. I was hoping for Pearl Jam or some ska bands to come down here, but no luck. At least I can still count on 311 though.

Hey Wes, we're going even older school on July 14th at Verizon--Chicago and Huey Lewis and the News!

I'm happy to report there is absolutely no decent metal shows this entire summer. Not a one......I love how a bands tour schedule conviniently goes around Atlanta....and gives Florida 3 nights in a row.

I'm surprised you not going to the Holy Alliance Tour: Slayer, Lamb of God, Mastondon, Children of Bodom, Thine Eyes Bleed.

I know you like Lamb of God, plus you have to like a few of the others.

Bob Dylan's coming to Reading, PA on August 23 on his minor league ball park tour! Capacity of 8,000 all General Admission, I'll be there real early. Thank god I'm skinny enough to squeeze my way to the front and tall enough to look over people, the one time my builds an advantage.

Saturday I saw Journey (with fill-in lead singer) and Def Leppard. Great show.

Journey's current lead Steve Algerry (sp?) is having throat problems, so they got a temporary guy right now. He did a really good job, considering he had to learn all those songs in 3 days.

Friday I saw Huey Lewis and the News. Another great show. I've been trying to see them live since the 80's, I even had tickets one time to see them and they canceled the show. grrrrrrrrrr

The opening act was Robert Cray band- the whole show was great.

One of my first concerts was Milli Vanilli. How's that for scary!
Hmmm...since they didn't actually sing, I guess it wasn't my first concert. lol

I saw Panic! At the Disco last saturday and I must say, they put on one hell of a show.

Dresden Dolls annoyed me with most of their songs (Coin Operated Boy made me want to shoot myself), but for one song they brought out Brandon (lead singer for Panic!) and did Hit Me Baby One More Time. The scary part about their cover was that it actually sounded pretty good.

As for Panic! themselves, their set reminded me of Moulin Rouge with a light-up windmill in the back and a few show-girl/burlesque dancers. They sang most of their songs off their album plus two well done covers of Karma Police by Radiohead and Tonight, Tonight by the Smashing Pumpkins.

I would definately see them again.

They're a bit blurry, but I was trying to take them with drunks in front of me. lol

I saw Taking Back Sunday, Angels & Airwaves, The Subways, and Head Automatica at Six Flags Great Adventure back on June 22nd. TBS is amazing live, just like the CD and AVA was also great. A little dissapointed with The Subways and HA shocked me.

I went to Warped back in June. It was pretty good. Underoath was amazing. Anyhow, Monday I'm going to see Dragonforce, which will be an awesome show.

Queensryche is coming to Toronto this fall, and though they aren't that good now I'm debating getting tickets just because they used to rock so hard.

I also considered seeing Roger Waters this fall but I'm still kind of pissed at him for ruining Pink Floyd (even though he's a brilliant songwriter) and I doubt seeing him would be near as cool as seeing Floyd back in their time.
