Concerts

Post the concert you last went to and how it was and the concerts you will be attending in the future.

Last night I went to the Taste of Chaos concert here and Toronto and it was pretty sweet. Lots of bands, lots of beer, just an overall fun night, lol.
I went mainly to see KillSwitch Engage but I enjoyed almost every band except for The Used.

My next concert is a Rise Against show on March 19th. I can't wait.

I think this might be the same thing you are talking about. Maybe not, since you are asking which concerts you are going in the future. The other thread is what artist have you seen live and that junk.http://thrillnetwork.com/boards/show...light=concerts

That thread is more for artists/bands people have seen in the past. I want this one to focus on the current tours or shows that people are currently going to attend or would like to attend. Reviews of recents ones would also be welcomed.

The last concert I went to was VNV Nation (Victory Not Vengeance). They played DC back in December. As always, VNV puts on one of the most energetic live shows of any band I've ever seen. I just wish they'd come around more than 1 time every 3-4 years...sigh.

Last night I was at the Jakalope concert. The opening band (Johnny Hollow) was just plain weird, and very creepy. It was more of dark poetry with music to it.
Jakalope, on the other hand, was very good...and Katie is incredibly hot.

Next concert I'm going to is Queens of the Stone Age on March 30th.

List of concerts I've been to in the past:
Linkin Park with POD, Hoobastank, and Story of the Year
Chevelle with Strata, Crossfade, and Helmet
Hoobastank with Out of Your Mouth
Story of The Year with lostprophets, My Chemical Romance, and Anberlin
Offspring with Cyprus Hill and MxPx
Evanescence with Finger Eleven and Seether
Evanescence with Three Days Grace, Seether, and Breaking Benjamin
Warped Tour 2000, and 2004
Summersault 98

The last concert i went to was in mid Dec 2004. "Trans Syberian Orchestra"

Just an awsome concert and laser/light show. If you have never seen TSB live before i suggest you do on their next tour.

Their last tour was a Christmas music tour since theri last CD was a Christmas one but they have a regular cd due out next so that concert should be just as fun.

My next concert will be Green Day in April.

Jackalope kicked ass. They were also my last concert. The venue was nice and small, and they played a very good show (a little late for my taste though, getting up this morning was rough). Queens will be good too, if they're better by then.

I wanted to see Killswitch engage when they played with Slipknot in January, but their lead singer blew his voice, so they only played three songs, with a different singer.

That's only because I made him buy them the day they went on sale... I tried to get tickets to their last show, but it was sold out. I wasn't going to miss them again.

The last show I went to was Keane at the end of January. They had two opening bands, The Redwalls and The Zutons. We missed The Redwalls, but I heard they weren't that great. The Zutons were absolutely amazing. They were from Liverpool and they had such a unique sound. I highly recommend seeing them live if you have the chance. The CD isn't quite as good, but still good times.

As for Keane, they were incredible. It amazed me how good the lead singer's voice is. I mean, it sounds good on the album, but they can always enchance it for albums. His voice was simply astounding. The piano player was also headbanging like crazy while he was going away on his piano. It was pretty crazy. The only part that bothered me was that they only have three members of the band, and the singer just sings, so they have all the bass parts recorded on a computer that they just play. I think it would have been better if they hired a bass player just for the tour or something.

The last concert I attended was Rise Against with Tsunami Bomb and Alexisonfire on Feb. 21st at Chicago's Metro. Every band was incredibly energetic and amazing. I was glad to see that almost everyone there was a true Rise Against fan and not a bunch of people that jumped on the bandwagon since they started getting radio play.

Damn, lucky you. Rise Against and Alexisonfire at the same show, that must have been awesome. I am hoping Alexisonfire will make a surprise appearance at the Toronto show on the 19th for their home crowd.
