Come on Down, You are the next host of the Price is Right!!

Drew Carey!

I know it will be hard for people to adjust to and embrace. But this is one of Ohio's own, one of Cleveland's own, one of Kent State's own. I'm happy to hear this.

Think of it this way, at least it isn't Rosie.

+1 for the Rosie deal. I'm sure he'll do a fine job, but I'll still miss Bob.

I admired Bob so I made it a taping when I went to California in 2005. President's Day second show was the one I attended. Very cool and something I always wanted to do as a fan. I support Drew Carey in being the new host. Good luck.

I'll miss Bob Barker even though I rarely get to catch the show anymore. Speaking of which, when does his last show air or has it already? And I think Drew Carey is a great and interesting choice. I wonder what kind of longevity he will have as host.

^Barker's last show aired in June. Look for it on you tube, it might be there.

Carey is 49 years old...which surprised me. But he should be good.

Although I will miss bob, if they do a daily dose of plinko, I think I'll be okay.

I'm not too thrilled about this selection. I knew that replacing Bob would be an incredibly hard task, but I think they could have found someone a bit better than Drew Carey. I guess we will see when his first episode airs. Anything can happen with this one.

Wow, I really wasn't expecting him to be the next host, but he could be a good. He could add a bit of looseness to the show that Bob just didn't have. Carey's only a year older than Barker was when he started out 35 years ago, so maybe we can get a good long run out of Drew if he keeps healthy. But if that picture in the article is recent, he's let himself go a bit since Green Screen ended.

Drew Carey...? Blah!

I was hoping for a somewhatly unknown person, not a well known comedian.

Carey is going to be really different, Bob WAS TPIR. I wish him the best though, I like Carey, especially on Who's line.

I guess we can kiss the pretty girls goodbye.

Bob's last show was 6/15/07. I watched and recorded it on DVD. I didn't label it though.

^ Strangely enough, I was in my hotel room at Breakers Express and I caught the last 10 minutes or so of the show. Bob had his flaws as we all do, but he was a classy guy IMO.

I used to watch the show every day during summer vacation growing up in the late 70s/80s.

I think Drew Carey is a better fit then Rosie. I could just see controversy pouring out of her mouth on a family game show. No thanks!

I thought another good choice would have been John O'Hurley. He wreaks game show host. heh

I too was hoping for an unknown host. I think someone that does not have a pre-set tv personality could have worked well with the show.
