Merv Griffin, the talk show host of The Merv Griffin Show, the producer of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, also involved in real estate, passed on after a battle with cancer. I knew him basically as the producer of those great classic games shows Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and for being involved with the Merv Griffin Resorts Casino, which I just walked by in Atlantic City last week. I had a lot of respect for the guy.
