Rush Hour 3

This is by far my most anticipated movie in years!

I really loved the first two and I am excited to see what the third one has got. In my opinion, the one-two punch of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker is one of the greatest movie duos I've ever seen. In fact Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2 are two of my all-time favorite movies. I'm watching it as soon as it comes out on DVD.

The first film took us to Los Angeles; the second one took us to Hong Kong and Las Vegas, Nevada. This one I've heard is set in Paris, France and New York City.

If anyone has already seen this movie on theaters, how is it? How does it compare to the first two and would you anticipate a fourth one?

Why not just go see it in the theater?

It's worth it.

I think Jimmy isn't awake at the times when anything is open. and he probably gets sleep when he can. I also love the Rush Hour movies.

I liked 1, Didn't like 2, 3 may be a good one.

So far my highest priority movie to see is Bourne Ultimatum.

My favorite part of the first two was Chris Tucker; he's hilarious. I'm probably going to wait for this to come out on DVD though.

All I have to say is someone over 7 feet tall shouldn't be a blackbelt. That just isn't fair...

Well I usually get up whenever around 5 or 6 PM in the afternoons, just before the prime time hours.

But even so, I choose never to go to theaters.

Watching on DVD is always, far and far away, the better alternative for so many reasons:

1. In the comfort of my own tranquil apartment. (This is huge and the biggest decider for me) Quieter, less crowded, and more comfortable than theaters.

2. A lot more cost efficient than theaters. Cheaper and you can watch the movie more than once.

3. Watch the movie at my own pace -- stop, pause, rewind the DVD whenever I wish.

4. Cheap and better tasting snacks/popcorn easily accessible at home.

5. Special Features and extra options (subtitles and commentary) on DVDs. I always watch all the featurettes before the movie so there are no surprises and I know what to expect in the movie plot. They don't show you the special features in theaters.

Going to the movies is a lot more expensive, cramped, crowded, and noisy. I went to the theaters twice in the past (at age 13 and 19) and intensely disliked it both times.

In conclusion, there is no advantage (for me personally) whatsoever in going to theaters....and before anyone else brings up the whole "big screen and sound effects" thing, that does absolutely nothing for me and even more of a disadvantage (hence the noisy part that I don't like).

I'm more than happy waiting a few more measily months to watch it on DVD.

Jimmy, I get what you're saying about going to the movie theaters but I still love it all the same. One thing I didn't get which I found interesting...

I understand watching the special features. I do whenever I can to lear more about the movie. What I don't understand is that you watch tem before the movie so there are no surprises. Doesn't that actually ruin the movie a little bit? Certain movies, I'd want there to be surprises. Imagine someone giving you the ending to The Sixth Sense, Se7en or so many other movies. What if you knew what happened at the end of The Crying Game....ok wait...that one you might want to know what happens so you could be warned. Ugh! Haha

THe movie was pretty good. Funny in places too [haha wow] but it seemed short. Just over an hour and a half, I believe.

I thought it was ok when I saw it. The story needed to be a lot longer though, it was too short.

Even though it hasn't finished its theater run yet, Rush Hour 3 is currently the world's biggest failure, losing just over $112,500,000. That statistic is of right now and will change inevitably as the movie finishes it's theater run. http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/records/budgets.php (its near the bottom)
