| | | Ok, I thought there was only 3 (Saw).... I was just browsing IMDB and came across this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0890870/
I thought they just made three. Not that I even watched any of the other three, but I figured there were a lot of fans of the Saw series...
Were they really that nasty and gory? I just can't do gore.

| | | Saw IV was "green lit" Saw III's opening weekend. I'm looking forward to it, though I'm not sure how they are going to continue seeing as how they killed everyone at the end of 3.
Saw III was one of the, if not the, goriest movie I've ever seen.

| | | IMO, Saw 1 & Saw 2 were the more mild movies in the series. Saw 3 was just plain disgusting, but I still thought it was a great movie. I'll probably go to the movies for Saw 4, or just rent it when it comes out on DVD. |

| | | I still like the series but it does seem that it just tries to get more and more gorier. I don't mind gore, in fact, I like it. The story has gotten a little sillier over the series. The last one had some really dumb parts in it. It got old rather quickly where the guy kept decided to try and save someone only after it was obviously too late to save them. Though I'll still be interested in seeing the fourth installment.

| | | I can take a lot of cinema violence. But in Saw 3, I was sure I was going to pass out in the movie theatre. It was during the operation on his skull scene, and I started seeing stars. I had to close my eyes tight, but I could still hear the WHIIIIIIR of the tools booming in the theatre. Only time I've ever had to look away from a movie.

| | | Saw III was just a little... disturbing?
I thought Saw IV was green-lit during mid-production of Saw III. I'm probably wrong on this, but that's what I heard.

| | | I'm the same way. I can take a lot of cinema and video game violence, since I understand its fake, but I will pass out at the slightest bit of blood in real life.

| | | I heard something about this one will be some investigator looking into the whole thing and then he gets trapped by Jigsaws leftover traps or something like that.
I don't like gore, so I never watched any of the films. But I have to hand it to them that the first one was one of the more original twist endings I've heard of.

| | | ^ I never thought of that. I just figured they'd just back through Jigsaw's life kind of like a prequel. |

Although I did not see it in theatres, and I did not see the whole thing (only the last half/third, the gory part) So that could have been a big factor. Movies are always scarier/more disturbing in a dark theatre on the big screen.
