Unhappy Ipod trouble.

I was listening to my ipod last nite and i set it down on my computer desk (playing nolimits) and i went and took a shower and when i came back my ipods scroll wheel was broke. It would play stuff and all of the buttons worked but i couldn't scroll at all. I don't know if its broke if its fixable i don't have scroll lock on i don't use it and it didn't get touched. Any body have that happen? please help or post your own problems

I have a 30 gb video ipod

Admin edit: There is no reason to post another time mere 20 minutes after this post begging for help. If people see the thread and can help, they will. You do not need to needlessly bump a thread 20 minutes after creating it. That is spam and not tolerated.

If the first suggestion doesn't work, try the second.

1) Try to reset iPod. Lay on a flat surface and hold the enter and menu buttons until the iPod restarts (usually an Apple logo appears)

2) Restore the iPod in iTunes.

Resetting it (Menu and Center Button, press and hold for about 5 seconds) should do the trick.

Pedersonaa, don't double post and bump it after 15 minutes... someone will see it. Bumping it and expecting an answer within 15 minutes is just very poor etiquette, as this is not a computer support website. If you get a response within an hour or two, that's excellent, and if you did get one within 15 mins or less, then it's just beyond expectations. We're just trying to help each other out before we have to go to those places.

For our forum etiquette, click here.

If you need such help so quick, go to Apple's website, or call their support.

For any and all iPod problems, use this handy dandy guide from Apple.com first: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/

I had an experience sort of like this a few weeks ago, the buttons on the ipod worked but nothing would play at all. It turned out I just needed to install some newer software (I didn't know that because I run my ipod off a computer without internet).
