| "American Hod Rod" Boyd Coddington dead at 63 http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/TV/0....ap/index.html He was one of the best classic Hot Rod builders. I'm curious as to whether or not his legacy will live on (the business and the continued creation of hot rods under his name). It was only in October 2005 when his best metal worker, Roy Schmidt (who was a curmudgeon, yet funny, but would take you under his wing if you ever wanted to learn to work with metal), died at 64, within a week of his wife's passing.

Man, how great would it have been to hang with Roy for a few months? BTW, do not judge Boyd by the way he acted on "American Hot Rod." Quite a bit of the show was exactly that, a show. Since it's something you've mentioned an interest in, Steve- do a search for the name Jim Bailie. You'll find a lot of his work on Metalshapers.org. If I hit the lottery, I'm going to offer him a decent sum of money to let me be his shadow for a couple of months- the guy is very talented, and very innovative. And though I've mentioned it before, Steve- my shop door is always open to you.
