| | That says to me that every good idea was already used up. I've always hated Journey. Even the Atari Video game. |

But, even though he wasn't the original lead singer, as far as I'm concerned, it isn't Journey without Steve Perry.
Then again, that's just my opinion. If it puts a smile on your face, that's cool by me.

| | | This is funny because my show choir did "Any Way You Want It" this year at the show choir show. Huh.

| | | Actually Journey has been "back" for a while now.
This is their 4th lead singer, and I've seen #2, and #3 and will see the new guy with them in August, baring the unfortunate...but I've got my ticket already.
Steve Augery (sp?) was their 2nd lead, and he sounded a lot like Perry as well, but he started having vocal problems. #3 Was Jeff Scott Soto (i think that's the right first name) and he was ok, but no Perry.
The new guy probably sounds more like Perry than Augery did, and he has more of a youthful vibe to him too. Looks a bit like Perry too.
Too bad I'll probably never see them with Perry, although I said that about Van Halen and Roth, and that happened!
Anyway, this will be my 4th time seeing Journey in about 6 years. Last time I had no plans to see them again, but they came with Def Leppard and I wanted to see them, so Journey was a bonus.
It is weird like Brian said not having Perry, but Perry is a stinking recluse now and will probably never come out of hiding. I don't blame the guys for wanting to make a living and moving on. If they named the band something else, no one would know who they were.

| | | Hey Wes, just bought the new CD/DVD combo from Wal-Mart. It sounds really good. He sounds like Steve Perry but makes the song his own. Let me know if you want to hear one I will email you one of the songs.

| | Thanks, I'm actually planning on buying it next payday.
My Journey addict friend said it sounds really good. I've enjoyed all their recent CDs, but the last one kinda went a different direction. Thankfully it was free when i went to the concert. LOL
I wish Perry would come out of hiding and do a tour with them, but I'm afraid that's not going to happen. My Journey addict friend only saw them once with Perry, and that was when Randy Jackson (yes, that Randy Jackson) was playing bass with them on the Raised On Radio tour.

| | | I may be too young to remember the 80's, but I like Journey alot, and none of the leads have lived up to Perry, this guy comes close, but no cigar.

Their DVD from their Las Vegas concert ROCKED OUT Chris. Have fun!

| | | Finally got the CDs/DVD from Wally world.
I really like the guy, Steve Augerry (sp?) the 2nd guy they had was good, but I think the new guy is even better.
Noone will ever sound exactly like Perry, but this guy is close enough to go on the road with. He sure sounds more like Perry than Soto (#3).
Until Perry comes out from under his rock, he'll do nicely.

| | | Anyone who says Arnel isn't as good as Steve Perry needs to go see them live.
Arnel hit notes that Steve Perry NEVER hit! He was full of energy, all over the stage and singing his butt off last night.
Heart and Cheap Trick were both very good too. Ann Wilson has lost NONE of her high notes. She was freakin' amazing.
