| | | New Kids on the Block are back!! Move over Journey, NKOTB is back! Hell no, I am not going to their concert in Cleveland, but why in the world would you want to reunite?
Will we see teen and pre-teen girls swooning over them? My guess is no.
I think they are all broke and hitting their mid-life crisis's and want to relive their teen years. Good luck guys!

| | | Thats just what their doing and clearly they must need some extra money. I doubt many people will go to see them since their fan base it all in their 30-40's now.

| | | Why reunite?
Have you seen what they have done since NKOTB? Not much.
They need the money!
And screaming girls*er* middle aged women now, will be happy to spend $100 to see them now.
Funny thing, is I remember them playing this dive of a place not too far from where I live in their early days. And no, I didn't go see them.

| | | Actually, I think alot of people would argue they sound better this time around, and their latest single is pretty decent in my opinion. It doesn't matter how long they been outta the scene, the only thing that matters is their ability to produce quality music, which will determine how much longer they will survive in the industry. Not to mention, I think its very likely that you'll see the teenage youth at their concerts, since their music is primarily played on radio stations that market towards the teenage audience.
On a side note, its seems that all bands make a come back sooner or later, so this shouldnt be any different.

| | | I would have rather seen Vanilla Ice in concert than New Kids On the Block -- then and now.
All the band's members have to be over 40 years old by now, and I agree with the above posts that the fan base for them have grown up as well....most of which in their 30s. The majority of the ThrillNetwork community were not even born during their reign.
First New Kids On The Block are a band again, and now you have Lakers vs Celtics in the NBA Finals -- what a retro trip back to the '80s we have on hands! I'm starting to feel young again. lol

| | | They were just on the Today show like a week ago. My sister was in town and said she didn't like what she saw on tv. There were plenty of ladies and girls at the Today show concert. Funny that I just saw a NKOTB license plate a few days ago.

| | | I've already forewarned all of my friends that even though they will be in town on my birthday this year, by no means would it be funny or clever to get me tickets to the show.
*choking back the bile just thinking about it*

| | | ^ There's a huge difference between "making" a comeback and "attempting" a comeback.
When I saw tha banner at the top of our page for their new single "summertime," I foolishly wondered if it might be their version of Gershwin's "Summertime" from Porgy and Bess.
So I made the mistake of clicking on it to hear a sample. It's unbelievable, but they sound exactly like they used to. All these years have passed, but they picked up right where they left off. Unfortunately, that means they still suck as badly as they did back then.
And just when I'd forgiven Donnie Wahlberg because of his portrayal of Carwood Lipton in "Band of Brothers"

| | | I used to be obsessed with NKOTB. Loved them back in the day. When I saw their concert on the today show about a week or so ago....Jordan just couldn't hit the notes like he used to. It just wasn't my thing anymore. Whatever, right? As long as they make good music and sell albums who cares.

| | | A friend of mine's daughter knew one or two of them through friends and actually went up to Boston and hung around with them, back in the day. You couldn't do that today, some crazed fan would do something stupid. It's hard to remember sometimes how innocent in a lot of ways the 80s were.
