Euro Cup 2008 Thread.

Well folks, it's just around the corner. It's been two years since the World Cup in Germany and it's time for Euro Cup 2008 in Austria and Switzerland.

Italy is coming off of a World Cup championship, and England didn't even make it. It's going to be an interesting tournament.

Group A
Switzerland
Czech Republic
Portugal
Turkey

Group B
Austria
Croatia
Germany
Poland

Group C
Netherlands
Italy
Romania
France

Group D
Greece
Sweden
Spain
Russia

Group C looks like it will offer some pretty intense matches with Netherlands, Italy, and France all being pretty big powerhouses.

Anyone else going to watch? Comments, favorite teams, etc?

Group C will definitely be brutal! It's a shame that Italy has lost their captain Fabio Cannavaro to injury during training for the tournament. Their defense has lost a key component.

I'm actually being won over to Football. I deemed going up to see the New York Red Bull too far. I guess they still play in the home of those dam Giants, Giants Stadium. It's encouraging to hear in the Philly suburb of Chester they're building the stadium for our Philadelphia MLS team to come.

I read a headline about the co-hosting between the two nations. I still have to make ways to follow the schedule of all the big Cups.

Funny, I find both things quite fun actually.

Honestly, I've never had as much fun as watching a World Cup soccer game at home with my friends. Lots of food, drinks, and fun...especially when our country's teams are playing each other.
