| | | The trailer was released just 2 hours ago, which is why you had not seen it yet.
Love the trailer personally, I really liked how they focused on riddle and didn't just show a bunch of random images and such. very cool.

| | | Looks good. I'll probably have to re-read the book before hand though.

| | | I just finished the book about 3 weeks ago. I decided to read the books before seeing the movie after the 2nd film.
I'm debating weather i should start the final book now or wait until after the HBP release.

| | | You'll have to read Deathly Hallows in two parts then since it's going to be a 2 part movie.

| | | Yeah. I honestly just found out the last movie is going to be split into two films about a week ago. Out of the loop i guess.
I'll still read the entire book cause i don't know where Part 1 will leave off and Part II will begin.

In a last-minute move, Warner Bros. has just announced that the studio is pulling Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from its fall lineup and rescheduled it for July 17, 2009. Reason: As for why the film was pushed out of fall, the studio explained in a statement that summertime is the “ideal window for a family tent pole release.” But this, presumably, is not something the executives just figured out this morning. The Warners release continued, somewhat more convincingly: “[L]ike every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers’ strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films—changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of. We agreed the best strategy was to move Half-Blood Prince to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer.” Prior to the movie, Warners’ had a blockbuster, Terminator Salvation with Christian Bale, set for Memorial Day, but not much else. Source | That sucks.

Reasoning, it will make more money if we release it in the summer. but its ok! they can just cover that fact up by blaming it on the Writers Strike. blah.

| | | I don't buy one of the reasons is because of the writer's strike.
The movie is based off of a book, and is therefore already written. All they have to do is figure out which scenes they want to keep, which they want to cut, and which they want to completely butcher.
Besides, it's Harry Potter; the movie will make money any time of year it is released.

| | | I'm REALLY mad about this, was waiting for this for almost a year now and they change the date? They did it because the want more MONEY $$$. Just because the fifth movie made a nice profit in the summer dosen't mean this one will. It's Harry Potter it's going to make alot of money no matter what time of year it comes out. I would go see it on Christmas day. WHY!!!!
