Spider-man 4 and 5 ready to go

MaGuire and Raimi will both be back for 2 more Spider-man movies that will be shot back to back. link

They'll probably use the Lizard for 4. They better not try to overload the villains again.

Didn't they get the indirect memo to stop making Spiderman movies? Spiderman 3 sucked and flopped at the box office

^Um Spider Man 3 did not flop at the box office! If i recall, it made like 100 million dollars opening weekend. When you consider the international ticket sales on it as well, it was quite successful. Besides, these movie studios are more concerned about getting you to buy a ticket than if you liked the movie or not.

They really did overload the villains though, I thought SPiderman 3 was weak to be honest, it was too predictable, and cliched, too many people forgiving each other for no reason.

As long as they don't have Peter Parker turn emo and dance in the streets again, the franchise may redeem itself.

Although, I'm looking more forward to the rumored Venom spin-off.

Part 3 of Spider-Man certainly wasn't my favorite of the series but it was anything but a flop. It was the biggest movie in 2007, making well over 300 million and almost 900 million worldwide, making it the 13th biggest movie all time. With success like that, more Spidey movies were a near certainty.

Hopefully the series can rebound. I personally think the first and second movies in the series were much better.

Well they are written in the same font style, so I can see where you would get confused.

My thoughts exactly! No more Peter Parker emo crap. I am interested in the villains. Maybe they'll have the Hob Goblin since he's Green Goblin's son. That seems to be where this series is heading anyway.

Actually, Harry Osborne is Green Goblin II; there are four different Green Goblins. Hobgoblin is a completely different person, but I agree, he would be cool to see. Especially if they go with a kind of deformation instead of a suit.

Really though, the next villain I can see is Lizard. They've been building up Doc Conners in the past two movies, so it seems like the logical choice.

Hey, it happens. Anyone that fixes their mistake and takes a jab at Sony in the process is alright in my book.

Now if only we had a place to discuss console gaming...

I simply will not support another Spiderman movie until proof is shown that it is in no way, shape, or form, AT ALL like Spiderman 3. I had successfully blocked that crap out of my mind until now.

Yeah, Spiderman 3 was pretty horrible. I enjoyed the first two, but they kinda lost me in the third installment.
