Americas Got Talent

Anyone keeping up with this season? I have been watching it, and some of the performances have been amazing. Next week is the final 5 people to see who will be the winner. Who's your favorite performance? Mine is probably Nuttin' But Strings. Here is a video. They are really good:

Everyone else is also really good. I also like Eli Mattson and Neal Boyd.

The thing I hate about this show is that they feature vocalists so prominently. That's what American Idol is for. Sure they only allow a certain age range, but there's a reason for that. The older people don't have as strong of voices as they would have had in their prime, and the kids just aren't even in the same league yet. Sure they my be good for a kid that age, but overall they suck, and who's going to go to Vegas and pay big bucks to see them? And then there's the family acts which are just plain creepy.

That being said, NBS should win this show on the fact alone that they're almost strictly instrumental. Then add to that the fact that they've taken 3 or 4 different genres of music and made it enjoyable for almost everyone and they're a no-brainer.

I loved the Zooperstars, but they only made top 20. They were quite funny, very entertaining, just couldn't get past all the singers they advanced.

I love kids don't get me wrong, but I think they advanced the 4 year old so they wouldn't hurt her feelings.

^ As soon as I saw that girl I knew that she was going to keep advancing for that reason, and I think all parties involved with her being in the competition should be ashamed for exploiting her and reeling her along.

What a horrible ending.
The voters apparently don't know what kind of acts people want to see in Vegas. Don't get me wrong, Neil E. Boyd is a great singer with plenty of talent, but I would never pay to see him in Las Vegas. There are so many other big name acts there, that it just makes him a tiny fish in a pond full of sharks. Him winning is the same reason Ruben won over Clay all those years ago on American Idol. A large guy with a good voice that would probably never have a chance is declared the winner. But what happened to Ruben afterward...nothing; I've yet to hear anything from him.

Personally, I think that Nuttin But Strings should have won. They have a unique act, and they way they did there performance last week with acrobats and everything shows that they can put on a full out performance that would stand a chance in a city like Vegas.

Nuttin But Strings should have won. They were the most diverse and most talented by far. They played with so much passion you could just feel it in their performance. The part in the finals with just music playing for like 30 seconds and them jumping around kinda puzzled me though, that might be what cost them, they should have just stuck to playing the violin

Neil is a nice opera singer, but an OPERA singer, he will do nothing in Vegas.

Bahh, I can't watch that show anymore.

Last season, I was actually there for the taping of the finally. If you go watch the scene where Kermit the frog comes out, you can see me in the second row...That one scene took about 5 hours to film. Haha, live, yeaah...

But the people in the show are still so talented and awesome. I haven't been watching this season, but that video was pretty cool.

I can agree with last years winner. I don't really watch the show. my family did so I could listen in. i found myself taking time to see the Nuttin' But Strings performances. I agree they should have won. but I'm sure some one will get a hold of them and give them a show some were.

I never watched the show here in the US but the Polish version was interesting. A Polish singer, a lady that was a judge, I thought was a looker so I watched the hour.
