I don't use either but I notice one user use tinyurl. I entered a more direct thread title too.

I made a page or profile, whatever you call it on Photobucket. To me, it's just a place to put my pictures online and then have a link if I want to place the pic elsewhere. Unless I saw a site that had some outrageous great features, I don't see why I'd bother with another site. That's not to say other sites aren't better, I just don't need to look at other sites for what I use it for.

I think it really depends on what you're looking for in a service. If you just want to host images of this that and the other and put them on your personal pages myspace, etc., then I'd suggest Photobucket, as it's more geared towards the myspace/host and post random images type of crowd.

If you plan on taking lots of pictures yourself and want a place to showcase them, I'd suggest Flickr, as it's more geared toward the photographer, or just people who take a lot of pictures and like to have a clean, professional looking place to host them.

Flickr all the way.

But ^ is correct, which service you use is dependent on the services that you need. If you need an image host service for web sites, design work, etc then Photobucket would be more reasonable. Flickr isn't fond of direct linking. But for design work (layouts, graphics) I use TinyPic. Also, I find Photobucket to be very cluttered and excessive. I don't need themes for my homepage, it's rather annoying. But it's a good place for image hosting (as is ImgShack, TinyPic, Putfile...)

On the other hand, Flickr is suited for the photographer and even the designer. It works as a portfolio, project host, and is a huge! global community of talent. You can almost find anything on Flickr, get questions answered, camera FAQs, etc. Personally, I use Flickr as for those exact reasons. It's a great place to hold your portfolio and is super easy to use as well.

Flickr!!! It's not like I'm biased or anything... heh.
