April Showers film

Considering today was the tenth anniversary of the Columbine High School Massacre, I came across this new independent film named "April Showers" that was written and directed by a survivor that tells the story of a school shooting and what happens to the survivors as they try to carry on afterwards- it's not about Columbine per se, but it definitely uses it as source material. The film isn't entirely about a school shooting like several precursor films that used it as a main plot-line- it tells the story of those involved.

The trailer:

Sadly, since it is independent, it is only releasing in a small number of theaters- but the good news is it is releasing to DVD on May 5th and Blu-Ray on June 5th and may be ordered from the film's official website.

This seems like it is going to be a good movie. I'm surprised there has yet to be a movie about Columbine (not like Bowling For Columbine, but like this; a "re-enactment" of sorts). Its unfortunate ten years later this massacre has had little lasting effect on nation-wide schools. Counties are still too caught up in penny-pinching and continue to sacrifice safety for a few more nickels and dimes they can forward to their superintendent's salaries.

Everytime I ride a coaster, it valleys. I've never been on a stalled coaster or had one roll back (except Wicked Twister and what was Superman: Ultimate Escape, which does that by design).
