I am in a band called No Longer Forgotten (NLF) and we just recorded a demo CD last week. I thought maybe you guys could listen and give me some feedback. We have a few songs up at Pure Volume, but the quality isn't too great there:

This really isn't my type of music, but you guys sound pretty good. I'm sure you'll probably find a good number of people that enjoy this stuff.

My biggest problem was that the 3 songs on the site sound pretty alike.

I'm sure once you guys get going you'll more unique sounds, because you are probably still figuring out what exactly you guys want to do and what sounds best. Once you become more comfortable you'll be able to do some new stuff.

I listened to all 7 songs and was very pleased. I enjoyed all of them.

I'm not trying to go "attack him" on the subject, or ruin this thread.. it's just that I'm sick of going into every thread and seeing Slipknot being an ass to everyone and complaining about everything.

Anyways, back to the topic. That's just my opinion.

Pretty good. Kinda generic, but I think it's better than most stuff in the genre. At least you don't incorperate an extremely whiny emo voice.

The first song had some kinda awkward drum transitions. I agree in saying that the three songs have a very similar sound. The drums in general aren't extremely original either.

Thanks for your comments, criticisms, or whatever they may be. I understand people are entitled to their opinions, and I don't blame them for saying what they are thinking. It is all constructive criticism in my eyes, so I can soak it all in and help things better for the future.

Oh, and Bimmer, all of those songs aren't exactly the most difficult or anything, but we've all only really been playing our instruments for about a year, so technically we are all beginners (I am sure it shows). Either way, keep the bashing and compliments comming, I enjoy reading them. Ryan, if the thread gets too crazy, I will close it myself.

No need to close it. It's just getting intresting i think. I would like to hear more songs other than the 7. Not everyone is going to like this type of music. I'm not a huge fan of it either but most of your songs are pretty darn good.

Everypne gets so bent out of shape....THe point of this thread was "Hey, tell me what you think of my band!" And that's what I did.....I didn't say, HEY, YOU GUYS SUCK SO YOU SHOULD STOP PLAYING BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!"

I said that I personaly hated it.

I agree that we sound like a lot of bands...... but those songs were older songs, the newer songs that we have been creating are different from the normal bands.
