Just Lose it -Eminem

Anyone seen this music video, I thought it was verry good, but check iths

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/149...headlines=true

Eminem isn't making a fan out of Michael Jackson with his new video, which pokes fun at the embattled pop star. The singer has asked video channels to stop playing "Just Lose It," and BET has since pulled the clip out of rotation.

In the video, Eminem riffs on several Jackson-related themes, from an opening routine reminiscent of "Billie Jean," to a joke about the 1985 incident in which the singer's hair caught on fire during the filming of a Pepsi ad. Wearing prosthetic makeup to look like Jackson, Eminem also targets the singer's molestation scandal by sitting on a bed with boys dancing around him.

In the song, Eminem insists it's not an attack, rapping, "Come here, little kiddies, on my lap/ Guess who's back with a brand new rap/ And I don't mean a rap as in a new case of child-molestation accusation/ ... I've done touched on everything but little boys/ That's not a stab at Michael/ That's just a metaphor/ I'm just psycho."

Jackson said he finds the video "offensive" and "demeaning," according to spokesperson Raymone Bain. "The entire video is inappropriate; it's not just one thing," Bain said. "He is very disappointed, he is very angry. It's one thing for there to be a spoof, it's another to be insensitive and disrespectful. It crossed the line."

Jackson also called in to "The Steve Harvey Morning Show" on Los Angeles radio station KKBT-FM on Tuesday to complain. "I've never had a problem with Eminem," Jackson told Harvey, saying that he felt "appalled" and "angry" at his depiction in the video. "I've admired Eminem as an artist, and was shocked by this," Jackson said. "The video was inappropriate and disrespectful to me, my children, my family and the community at large."

Bain said Jackson was encouraged by BET's decision to pull the video and hopes other channels follow suit. BET spokesperson Michael Lewellen said the move was "out of respect for our longstanding relationship with Michael Jackson."

"BET pulled the video because we feel it is inappropriate to use our network to air a video disparaging Michael's character, or that of any other celebrity," BET Chairman/Founder Bob Johnson said in a statement.

In the meantime, Eminem is standing by his video. His label, Interscope, released a statement about the matter contingent upon it being printed in full. It reads: "Eminem's video for 'Just Lose It' was taken off the air today by BET. Michael Jackson requested that the station no longer play the video because he found it offensive. We are sorry that BET made this decision. Eminem's new album, Encore, will be released on November 16."

Out of all the pop musicians that I hate, I probably hate Eminem the least.

That's the way Eminem is though. And I await when the CD comes out so I can get his latest. I was driving to work early this morning when they mentioned the story, then said, "So in honor of this story, here's 'Just Lose It'."

Angry

I think that BET pulling the video is bull******. They'll play videos over and over again from R. Kelly, even though anyone with half a brain knows he should be guilty of statutory rape. I think it's a bunch of hypocrisy that BET plays the music of all sorts of criminals and ex-cons with videos that degrade women, idolize guns, drugs and gang life culture, (and of course insult police) but will ban a video because it pokes fun at a celebrity musician....a black celebrity musician.

I guess BET considers it ok for black artists to do as they wish and even put down whites, but when a white artist pokes fun at blacks...now there's a problem.

i think eminem is a talented rapper, but i also think he's a big hypocrite. he's constantly ripping on every other celebrity in the book, trying to make fun of them and use their fame or misfortune to draw attention to himself, but, as soon as someone else makes one comment about him he flips out and replies with bullsh_t remarks like "they don't know me at all. they don't have any right to say that about me. i'm just keeping it real...." WHATEVER! that's right, eminem, they don't know you at all... and you don't know them! idiot.

secondly, who HASN'T made fun of michael jackson lately? can't he think of anything better? he seems to be grasping for straws when it comes to new ideas. he repeats the same lines in several songs, is constantly writing about the same things, and now he's jumped on the "let's make fun of michael jackson" bandwagon. sorry, but the little respect i had for marshall mathers him is slowly dwindling.

I think this music is just dated and they/he knows it; It's been a long time since MMLP was released and rap music won't be fasionable forever.

I like Eminem but his songs he picks off his albums are always not the best. He is funny and that is waht his songs good. No one else is doing what he is doing. He isn't scared to say or diss anyone or anthing. He has to do this because if he were out there rhyming about an AK and blow peoples head off or get his 9 and AKs out the trunk and going to the streets with them, no one would take him seriously.

From what I've seen of the video, it's pretty funny. The nose falling off and such.

It's just a joke, come on Jacko get a sense of humor!

Is this his dance-esque song? I heard it on the radio once and I thought it was horrible. We changed the station. Worse song I've ever heard. Okay, not WORSE but pretty bad.

I've yet to see the video but I might suffer through the song to see it.

How is that conclusive that he likes country? I don't see where he says that. Think about it before you post something like that.

Face it, in the music industry controversy usually equals $$$$$$!!!

Remember these controversies:

Dixie Chicks controversy - resulted in more record sales
Ozzy, AC/DC and all those bands of the 70's (people saying it was devil worship music) resulted in a lot more record sales

The list goes on. If you get controversy then you get people talking about something, then more people will go buy the CD. Eminem knows what he's doing. He's trying to make more money, plain and simple.

I enjoy alot of types of music, infact, I've liked most of what Eminem has put out. This song just didn't tickle my Music Taste Buds.

Country is one of the worse styles of music to me.
