DEFIANTELY nintendo, i just think, personally, there games are so much better, i dont care if some games are considered "kiddy" as long as the gamplay experience is fun. wich i believe all there games are. i alsothink they are the most creative company, as is shown with the nintendo DS and what we have heard about there next gen console. their plan worked quite well with the DS as they are selling much more then the PSP and developers seem to favor it also, as it offers up new ideas they can put into the games. they are most deffinately my favorite company

If the question is who is the best game developer, it's Nintendo....by a mile. Nintendo might be in third place but they still dictate the direction of video games. It's Nintendo that Sony and Microsoft try to emulate in many ways. Nintendo is easily the most innovative with Sony and Microsoft merely being followers.

Sony is obviously the most popular and has the most variety of games simply because of quanity. Microsoft has the most powerful system and has done well in breaking in to the console gaming industry.

In the next generation, I see the results still being the same. PS3 will be the #1 seller with Xbox360 and Nintendo Revolution fighting it out for 2nd place. They all have their advantages but Sony has the biggest because of their name. Xbox360 comes out first, so they have that advantage. Although that wasn't particulary helpful for the Sega Dreamcast before the PS2 came out. Nintendo has their die hard fanbase as well as the downloadable content and the Revolution will probably be the most innovative. A lot of people are curious and excited what their system will feature as well as the still not seen controller.

But I've been a Nintendo fanboy since I was 11 or 12, about 15 years now. So I might be a little biased, but I am trying to keep an open mind anyway.

GO NINTENDO!!!
Now You're Playing With Power

yeah, basically sed everything i wanted to but was to lazy to^^^^

buut, the "revolution's" place in the industry might be hard to predict, nintendo's console will be the least powerful, but will also bring about new ways to play games, which makes me think, nintendos console will probably be a "second consloe" to many people. that said PS3 will be soo expensive, they have TWO 500$ video cards inside that thing, im thinking at least 400$, that will make it a hard[er] sell then less powerful xbox360, its name will have alot of people thinking it is more powerful though, because so many of the GP relate the xbox/microsft name with power, so this race can be head to head. We can look to the handheld race for a clue, the psp and DS highly represent sony and nintendo's new console offerings, the psp has the graphical power, but high price, the DS is less powerful, but has a second screen, with touch input, so its power at a high price against innovation at a low price, and guess whos winning, the nintendo DS with developers and GP alike, as it is selling more, and has more/better games coming out for it

Xbox all the way. I mean it has the best graphics by far, and you have Xbox Live. For those hard core PS2 and gamecube fans who don't know what it is, it is where you can play against people around the world.

I dont know why but i started playing Ocarina of Time again and i think that after playing that, if i get a new system it will be a Nintendo Revolution. I have a PS2 now and my brother has an Xbox so i miss those classic games, especially Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart. If they have some good games coming out Ill definitely get Revolution otherwise it would be a cointoss.

IMO Xbox has only a few good games. The main game being Halo/Halo 2 which i do love. That is the only game i would play pretty much if i indeed bought an Xbox.

NeoGeo also wasn't made by Sony. Sony is unbelieveably popular now. They could take a crap, label it PS4 or PSP2 and people would still buy it.

Take my friend for example. He just picked up a PSP despite the fact he almost never plays handheld games. Also, he only bought two games because as he openly admitted, they don't have any real great standout games for it yet. So he bought the cartoonish golf game (Hot Shots???) and Wipeout. I know he likes the console Metal Gear Solids, so I asked him about the one for PSP and he said he wasn't interested in it. So why would he buy it and two games he was extremely interested in??? I'll tell you, he's a fanboy. He bought it just to have bought it. He seemed to honestly have more glee and took more time staring at it then actually spent playing the game.

Personally I find it pathetic. I just bought a Nintendo DS and I like how it looks but I'd rather spend my time playing it. While the DS isn't nearly as pretty or as powerful in graphics, it's just fun to play. The touch screen on some of the games is easy to learn and starts to feel very natural. Nintendo hasn't forgotten how to give gamers something fun but also unique and interesting. Wow....with PSP, you got portable versions of the same game you already have on the PS2....great. Yeah, that's worth another $50 a game.

I have a long history of being a nintendo fanboy, but I'm currently kinda leaning over to sony.

I own a Gamecube, Dreamcast, and PS2. The PS2 would easily be my favorite if 4 people could play at once. Because its usually only 2, the Gamecube gets played alot more.

I loved Sega Dreamcast, especially NBA2k. I dont nkow why, but having one felt cooler. I also had some weird game that my older brother burnt from someones computer for dreamcast though and it had every SNES game you could think of on there. It was pretty cool except you couldnt save your games.

If I'm not mistaken, Famicon was just the name used for the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) in Japan. Just as when the SNES came out, it was called Super Famicon in Japan. There may have been minor differences in the hardware but more or less, they were the same.

i believe the the only difference was the way the games were stored, (not on cartridges) so yall no zelda is pushed back to 2006??? yea it sux, but they say they making the game longer, and better, they did state a few month bak that it would be a 70 hour game, but i think it will be amazing! nintendo is determend to get this one right, they sed they wont make previous mistakes again, they are working as hard as they can to overcome ocarina of time as the best zelda (or games in general) ever

Yeah, umm the PS2 also has something like that...I think the only difference is that PS2's online games ARE FREE! X-Box and Microsoft just try to take more and more money from X-Box gamers by making them pay for online games. Really, that's one of the reason the PS series is liked overall and has an advantage when PS3 comes out. Better graphics, better games, and free online play...What more could you ask for?

If anybody is interested, you can now pre-order an Xbox 360. But you have to get a bundle if you choose to pre-order it.

The best bet so far regardless of what people think of the company is Wal-Mart. I would skip GameStop and EB Games. Their bundles are ridiculously priced and only include specific games which might not be games you want. Also, since some or most of the titles aren't confirmed launch titles yet, if a title slips beyond the launch, they reserve the right to substitute a game of their choosing. This leaves you in a situation where you have to take the game or cancel the order and wait until the system is offered by itself.

Wal-Mart is also offering a bundle but you don't have to take as many games and more importantly, you can choose what games you want. So you don't have to worry about picking up games you're not interested in just because you want the system as soon as possible.

Personally, I'd just wait a few weeks or a month or so. Most launch games aren't the best stuff anyway. You won't have to worry about getting a bundle at all and choose games at your own pace. Also, you can wait to see some reviews of the console as well as some of those games. I'd be hesitant to reserve a system that nobody knows for sure how successful it will be. I'm not saying that it won't be good, I'd just want to hear some conformation first.

I think some of the bundles that GameStop and EB games are insane. It's like they're trying to outdo each other. Some of the bundles are going over $1,000 and a couple or so as high as almost $2,000. I read about those extreme bundles and there is almost no savings at all for buying them. I can't see why someone would then commit to spending that much money when they can just buy it seperate if they like they see with the system.

If you haven't seen on Pepsi products bottles already, Pepsi and Microsoft are giving away Xbox 360's every ten minutes! I entered two codes for the 10:20 am and the 1:30 pm. Nope I didn't win. It also tells you how many codes have been entered for that time segment. They usually get up to about 500.

you do know that there are 2 x-box 360's now right? The non-backwards compatable core system that also does not include a hard drive for $300 or the backwards compatable premium system with all the bells and whistles for $400. My question is which is Pepsi giving away? Also, if you are getting a 360, which one will you get?

It's really sad that Microsoft is doing anything in it's power to get more money from the consumer just so they can play original X-Box games and have a hard drive. I really hope that Microsft sells a crap load of these for the first few months, because once the PS3 comes out, it will once again return to the second most popular system.

That's fine with me. I really hope people are willing to go out and buy a 500 dollar system for new hip hop games....that way, there will be more Revolutions and and 360's in stock.

It's like I always say....Sony makes games for consumers, Nintendo makes games for GAMERS.

^ You can't possibly be serious...There is a fine line between Sony's and Nintendo's games. That line is the difference in better graphics and gameplay. There's just too many good PS exclusive games to compare them with Nintendo's games. Nintendo is the past, and for the past few years they've been playing catch up. It just seems like Microsoft and especially Sony are always 2 steps or more ahead of Nintendo when they try to make a move.

There's a big difference between being two steps behind in marketing and hyping your products and being two steps behind in game quality. I would argue that Nintendo is more like 38 steps behind in the marketing hype area and about 15 steps ahead in the game quality area.

EastCoaster,,, I don't expect you to agree with me, because you are exactly the consumer that Sony markets. Rather than making timeless classic games or noteworthy plots and or characters, Sony would much rather focus on the growing (unfortunately) hip hop thug culture. How many games can you play that involve listening to rap music in the MENU screen, then riding around shooting, killing, raping, or drug dealing before you just get tired of it? And of these games, how many can you say are actually worth any time at all? Sony knows exactly what the mainstream media wants, then dishes out a sub par game so that you can say to your friends..."Oh shizznit son! I got the new NBA BALLERZ!"

I'll continue to play original innovative games dished out by Nintendo. Maybe if Mario were black, and shot people in the face, Nintendo would be cooler to you.

Hey....Mario is Italian, he could have a future in a mafia related video game.

I agree with much of everything you said about Nintendo. They're easily the most innovative company. Their games push boundaries and try new things. It's always been other companies copying what Nintendo has done. The main thing that Nintendo has to do is get that cool factor back. It's important since that seems to be a big reason why a system sells. Sony is a major name brand in electronics and they do have the cool factor. I'll give them some credit though, in the next gen, they do appear to have the most powerful system. That would be unlike this generation when they clearly had the least powerful console of the three.

I would love to see a game come out with a bunch of characters from the old Nintendo games and be like mafia and street games. Like a GTA with the classic characters. That would be hilarious to see, Youshi runnin down the street with an AK. Or see Princess Peach with a rocket launcher. But yeah to also have other characters like prince of persia and the splinter cell guy and Ratchet and Clank, but mainly the classics ones. That would be a fun game.

As for favorite games I love PS2 but anymore if it has a custom soundtrack like with a racing game I'll probably get it on X-Box. Like Burnout: Revenge, I will get it on X-Box.
