| Family Guy holding back on us?
This week's episode I saw the rating, and it was TV-PG-DL. I think this counts as the first time in history that Family Guy has been rated lower than TV-14. Anyone else notice this?

yah, so? A heads up, that new stewie dvd advertised on the commercials is actually a full length 2 hour straight to dvd movie. In other words....a more dirty, crude, 2 hour episode of your favorite show.

Actually there have been several Family Guy episodes that were only TV PG. I like it because it shows that they aren't purposely trying to make the show TV 14 to get more people to watch.

I actually thought this past week's show was pretty funny. Peter and Stewie just crack me up.

That new dvd movie looks so funny. I can't imagine what it is gonna be like without the restrictions and tv clean versions. It is going to be weird hearing them cuss though that is going to be hilarious and the whole The Stewie Griffin Story Untold Story will be interesting. According to the review on amazon it is a three-part episode that never aired and talks about the... Amazon.com Review "The Untold Story! is a star vehicle for Family Guy's breakout character, in which the mega maniacal and matricidal infant has a Grinch-like change of heart after a near-death experience (and a disturbing encounter with Steve Allen in Hell) and, more life-altering, discovers a football-pated man who could be his father (the truth is more shocking!). As go the gags, so goes Family Guy, and there are enough good ones here to compensate for the many misfires."

Family Guy > The Simpsons. The end.

^ Incorrect. Classic Simpsons (IE, anything from the 90's) > Family Guy > Simpsons of the last 5 years

I thought this week's episode sucked, but here's my conspiracy theory: Last season, Brian was portrayed as a racist, I believe in the episode where Meg got a makeover and the Griffins became a singing family. To combat any PC bull--- and to keep the censors off their ass, the Family Guy crew tried to debunk and possible "Brian is a racist" theories by making it look like he was cool with black people, and in the end they tried too hard and the show sucked. Just my theory though.

And this topic was not meant to discuss the topic's title, it was meant to discuss the odd cleanliness of this week's episode.

I am so pissed about this season, I have been missing practically every episode and I don't know when Adult Swim airs the new episodes. I am hearing how funny they were but so far the only full episode I have seen is the first. I am just going to have to see the if I can't start catching them on Sunday but I ain't home usually. So I'll just have to wait for the Season DVD and get caught up that way. But what I have seen from them and heard friends talking about this has been the best season so far.

No, they weren't making Brian look like a racist - they were implying his father was and that it is uncontrollable instinct. Family Guy doesn't care who it offends, so its highly unlikely that they were "apologizing" for the "racist" jokes. If anything, Family Guy is holding back on GOOD JOKES. Each week, these new episodes get worse and worse IMO, way too many cutaway gags and all of them are forced and delivered the same way - "this is worse than that time when *insert obscure reference that has nothing to do with the situation at hand*". They didn't used to be this repetitive - now it seems like they write the cutaway gags and inject them randomly into the paper thin script. Not that Family Guy ever had fantastic scripts, but they were more than they are now. Long, drawn out gags are a Family Guy staple, but now they overkill them, perhaps to eat up time in the episode if anything. Suprisingly, as Family Guy is slipping, American Dad gets better every week. I was one of many who badmouthed American Dad when it debuted, but it has improved greatly and now I like it. Give it another shot.

I noticed that in sted of leaving stuff to your imagination, stuff that was funny to those of us with dirty minds, now they show the whole thing. I still think they are as funny as ever, except i thought that they were holding back on stewie, then i saw the movie. Family guy is back and better than ever in my opinion

My friends have been talking about the "Michael Moore farting contest episode" for a while and I hadn't seen it. I finally saw it last night. It is actually the one where they go searching for the fish utopia and crash and Brian becomes the father of the family and marries Lois. That one was one of the funniest I have seen in a while. Peter and Moore get into a farting contest and end up with the song like in usual Family Guy nature. But this was hillarious I was laughing a long time after the show went to commercials. That is what I love about Family Guy the timing. It adds a lot to the comedy and speed of the show.

I saw the Family Guy movie, and it was amazing. All I have to say is "Sweetie, you and me gonna make the baby."
