| | | Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Well being the Potter fan that I am, it's about time we start discussing the new movie.
One surprise besides the new director is the fact that this one got a PG-13! I hope the parent's don't come out and start protesting like they did when Burger King was promoting Fantastic Four because it had a PG-13.
I had never heard of the director Mike Newell, but I have heard of several of his movies. http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0330373/

| | | Never got into the Harry Potter stuff til I finally watched the 3rd movie after my sister had been insisting on it. I had seen 1 and 2 and wasn't impressed. The 3rd movie intrigued me and after seeing all the hullabaloo about the new book, I borrowed them all from my sister. Took me 2 weeks to plow through all 6. Very good. Screw the 4th movie, I need to see the 6th!

| | | I think this movie will be a good one, possibly the best...although the 3rd is hard to follow up.

| | | I'm more interested in seeing how well the director manages to keep the story full and well-rounded while cutting out some of the extra material. Since everything that Rowling writes ties into itself, there's only so much that you can remove before the story starts to fall apart. The third movie came dangerously close to doing that.
This movie also looks like it's going to be a lot more epic then the other ones, and judging by the trailers, the visuals are going to be great. Two things are a little irking though. Krum looks much too old to be someone who's in his late teens, and the maze at the end is much bigger then it ought to be, the whole thing's supposed to fit in the Quidditch stadium.

| | | This is the only book that I was really interested in seeing how it translated on screen, so I'll probably see this. I've only seen parts of 1 and 2, and didn't care for either at all.

| | I hope this will be the best. Or at least better than 3. *shivers* That one needs to be chopped up and left to die. Anyway, the new trailer is out and can be viewed at http://movies.aol.com/movie_exclusiv...er_goblet_clip

| | | Actually, I read the 5th book, before I read the 4th book. (I thought I had lost my copy, so I went ahead and read the 5th book...) I read the 4th book over the summer, and found it to be my most favorite. But the 5th one came in as a very close second. I'm excited about this movie, and I wonder what it will turn out to be! The trailer looks pretty good.

| | | Hm, PG-13. I want to see how this plans out with familes and such. I can't wait to see how they portray the maze part of the book. From the pictures in the trailers, It looks like it will be pretty cool.

| | | I like it. I enjoy reading the books, and watching the movies. It is just so much different from everything else out there, and it gets to my attention.

| | | The third movie was destroyed. Hagrids hut, along with the whomping willow and the forbidden forest somehow magically changed position over the summer.er, magically ain't the best word, but you know what I mean. It seemed they chopped out far too much than what was supposed to have been in it, to allow people that haven't read the books to understand it. For example, my parents, asked me billions of questions after seeing the movie, It was like the director left out everything.

| | ^ I know. That annoyed me too (moving the position of stuff).
But it was anew director and I guess he had to be "artistic".
I hope the new director doesn't mess with stuff.
I just finished the 6th book. There will be tears at the end of that movie version for sure. Count on it. Not saying who, but it's a major charecter. I guess I should have seen it coming (and in some ways I did).
