Gameboy Micro

Nintendo unveils yet another thing. This time they go back to the Gameboy and minimize it. The Micro is 4 inces wide, 2 inches tall and weighs a mere 2.8 ounces. It comes in either a sleek black or silver design. What do you think of Nintendo's latest product, the Gameboy Micro?

I think it's unique, but it's also a ripoff. You can get a DS for only a little more.

It's pretty tiny. The DS is huge compared to this, and it is smaller than a dollar bill. Her are the pictures I am referring to:

It's pretty bright too, it sort of reminds me of the PSP design, but in a smaller version obviously.

It's not much (x10) times smaller, but it is definatley considerably smaller. Here is the picture comparing the PSP to a Gameboy Micro:

well, from what i've read, event thought the screen is tiny, it is very crisp, bright, and easy to play with, and text is easily readable...

(I was exaggerating, lol) The thing is like the size of the PSP's screen, the PSP could eat that gameboy alive! lol.

Yeah, it's a nice improvement on the last gameboys. On some of the first Gameboys you would need a flashlight to see it in the dark, now you can use this most recent one as a flashlight. Lol.

I'd definitely forget that in the pocket of my jeans. And it would find itself in the wash.

Or, I'd step on it if I placed it next to my bed. If I get any of the new 'mini' or 'micro' products, i'll start confusing them with my cell phone! Things are getting smaller, no?

But it's a neat idea though.

Well they also have it in silver, but I am sure some of they're idea's came from the Sony PSP. But, they did make it pretty darn small and improved their screen quality.

Excuse me if I'm offending anyone about this but my god how are people still buying these things?! How many Gameboys can you make? And whats worse they all have the same capabillities. It can't do anything the others can't. I personally think they're a waste of money. For like the 150 I spend I'd rather take my girlfriend on in expensive date lol.

*rolls eyes*

Adrenaline, the Nintendo Game Boy outsells all other systems combined. So I'd say people are buying them.

If the gameboy has outsold every other system, doesn't that mean that the pool for new customers is even smaller? Unless people who already have a gameboy buy one, they won't sell too many. I know that some owners of the other gameboys will buy this one, but I just don't see the point. It's just a smaller version of the GBA with a lit screen.

Why would you get this? It has less features then other Gameboys. When are they going to come out with a true succesor to the Advance? Most Gameboy games are mediocre at best anyway, why would anyone want this?

thats a one-time thing, and maybe it'll get you a couple more dates, but the micro lasts as long as you want, and you dont get rejected by it!

^Lol. I have never bought a gameboy, and I never will. I just don't think that it is worth buying when they will come out with a newer version within a year or two.

^It's not like you'd have to buy the new system. The games will still be in GBA format.

I know that, but it makes me feel as if I could be having something better than what I already have. I don't know maybe it is just me. You know when you buy something, and then a little later, a newer version comes out. It is that feeling I try to avoid. Spending money, and then being dissapointed because something newer and a probably better version of what I just recently bought, is out there.

You could say the same about anything.

"I'm not going to buy a car this year because there will be a never version within a year or two."

"I'm not going to buy a computer this year because a faster version will be out next year."

"I'm not going to buy a newspaper today because a new version will be out tomorrow."

If you want it and you buy it and you enjoy it, then it doesn't matter that something new and better comes along. That shouldn't reduce the fun factor that you have with what you bought.

That thing is WAY too small. I would lose it very easily. You really get a feel for it's size when you turn it over and look at how huge the GBAdv paks look in it.

Tim, cars and computers are a more serious matter than a gameboy, in my opinion.
