Nickelback...sucks!

How the hell does Nickelback have a record deal, all their songs are terrible and copied so many other band's sounds. Just take a look at the lyrics from their latest "hit," which of course sucks, Photograph.

http://www.nickelback.com/nb/index.p...id=30&Itemid=5

I don't see how this song isn't ranked worse than We Built This City by Journey because this song makes just as much sense, and its not even catchy.

Eh....it's easy pop music for the masses to swallow. I will say though, there are FAR worse bands out there than Nickelback...even though the ydo indeed suck.

Wasn't "We Built This City" by Jefferson Starship? And yes, Nickelback does indeed suck to the maximum intensity.

The reason why the band is called "Nickelback" is due to fans paying a nickel for their CD before they were popular.

People listened, thought they sucked, asked for their nickle back... hence, the reason why the band is called Nickelback.

And yes, Nickelback sucks, and is another chapter in pop music that annoys me.

True that. This band is so lame. I got so mad when I first heard photograph, because Def Lepperd already made a song named Photograph. So unoriginal.

edit: (post below) that too.

^Similar thing pissed me off when Jay-Z released Black Album, which is an obvious ripoff of the name given to Metallica's self-titled.

It's nice to know there are a lot more people than just myself who don't like Nickelback. I don't know exactly what it is about them that makes me sick to my core, whether Chad Kroeger's selling it on every note is just too damn fake to like, the content of their songs is horribly generic, or simply I don't like you - you're Canadian - you can't rock. I'll tell ya this, by the 20th time I heard "How You Remind Me", in one day, whooo Alanis Morisette was starting to sound pretty good.

But in all fairness, wasn't Jay Z's album actually called the Black Album? Everyone just referred to Metallica's cd as the black album, because it had no name and was black. And furthermore, it's all a ripoff of The Beatles "White Album."

There is actually a mix of Jay-Z and Beatles songs mixed together like Collision Course is entitled the Grey Album.

I beleive you, but the idea of The Beatles and some stupid rapper...are just criminal. That's almost as bad as rape or Michael Jackson.

THE GREY ALBUM LEGAL BATTLE SUMMARIZED

DJ Danger Mouse remixed the vocals from Jay-Z's The Black Album and the Beatles' White Album and called his creation The Grey Album. He sent about 3,000 promo copies out, and was soon served with a cease-and-desist notice from EMI, who owns the rights to the White Album master. Danger Mouse complied with EMI's order, but Stay Free! (sponsors of the Illegal Art Exhibit) and other fans and activists continued distributing the record over the Internet. EMI sent legal threats to many of us as well but later backed down. Next, SONY/ATV -- who owns the rights to the Beatles' compositions -- stepped in and sent our internet service provider a DMCA takedown notice (3/1/2004). We secured legal representation from the EFF, moved our website to the Online Policy Group (a free-speech ISP), and responded to Sony with this letter. Fortunately, Sony also dropped the case and The Grey Album remains safely online.
All I have to say is.. ewww

Anyone heard of Beatallica? They're a parody band who craftfully combine Beatles and Metallica songs. It pretty funny. Anyways, they released a "Grey Album" not too long ago, the same kinda take off on a middle ground between black and white.

By the way, Nickelback does suck. Didn't we have a thread here a few years ago that pointed out how two of their songs are almost identical? "How You Remind Me" and "Someday", those are the two. Yeah, they suck majorly.

Jay-Z is legit, and Michael Jackson is, too. Not like he wasn't the best pop singer of all time, pedahile or not, you should have respect for the guy.
