Those of you who frequently visit ebaumsworld.com or are even familiar with it need to view this. If you don't already know, ebaumsworld is basically one huge pile of stolen media from other websites. The site owner, Eric Baumen or whatever, is rich from his site's popularity, because he takes media from these sites and claims it as the site's own original stuff. Most of the site does not credit the actual artist of the content. There is a link where you can ask them to remove your content, but apparently they never do even if you ask.

So basically, I think everyone should view this, pass it on, and spread the word that ebaumsworld should be boycotted.

I like his site but I guess he's not trim n proper in going about business. Depending by site "sucks" could mean a compliment.

8 bits and Goomba-stomping fun is all you need for a fun afternoon. Forget shooting and thousands of polygons, I want bits and funny sounds.

There's tons of sites like this, eBaums is probably just being singled out because it's so popular.

I don't see how this is his fault at all... 90% of the content added to eBaums is sent in by people on the internet, he doesnt personally go around and claim stuff to be his own.

And "The Watermark" doesnt say anything about the content being his, it just says where it is hosted, and nothing more.

And the whole "bought some ads' thing is just so he can afford to keep the site up and runnnig. The site gets millions of hits per month, because it's basically a 'retention pond' for funny media on the internet.

I dont see the big deal... whoever made that flash is probably just some pissed off kid that didn't didnt get his 'e-credit' for some lame flash video he made...

Don't get me wrong, I hate eBaumsworld, too many pop-ups and slow loading times, I much perfer albinoblacksheep.com, but it's just stupid for them to get blamed for offereing a free site with tons of free media.

I've never had a problem with pop-ups...I guess that helps having a pop-up blocker.

Ive never seen the Aicha video on any other site, and that Aicha video is one of the funniest things ever, literally. Theres the GI Joe things too. The moron mail is sometimes funny too.

Also, family guy the other week made fun of the Peanut Butter Jelly Time thing. It was kind of funny, but the joke was already old.

See but thats the thing. Ebaumsworld did NOT create the freakin peanut butter jelly thing. The GI Joe cartoons are one of the few things he actually gave credit to the creator(fenslerfilm.com).

The whole point of this is that a good majority of the stuff on the site was NOT voluntarily submitted, and Eric does NOT give credit, and many times erases other water marks by putting his own over it. They don't always say "hosted by Ebaumsworld" either, sometimes they just say the site's name, or "presented by". Besides, even if it says "Hosted by", he still doesn't give credit as to who really did it, as opposed to other sites, like Albinoblacksheep or Newgrounds.

So, ARE more sites like EB that don't give credit, but none of them get nearly as much traffic as EB. Eric Baumen is basically rich by being a thief and stealing content from all over the internet. It is illegal and its complete BS that he is getting so much money and getting away with it. How would YOU feel if something you created was stolen and placed on a site like that? They're making money off of your work!

The point of the flash is not to say "OMG UR SITE SUX", the site was created to create awareness of what an a-hole Eric Baumen is. By the way, it was created in part by Something Awful, a site as popular as Ebaums but much more creditable. It started because SA confronted Eric about all the stuff on EBW that had been stolen directly from SA without any credit and using his watermark over the SA one. What does Eric do? Instead of being nice and taking it down, he attacks SA and SA's forums with malicious code.

To be honest, I don't really care that much, I'm just bored and feel like arguing something.

You can find basically all their material at the site where the flash cartoons, games etc. originated from. Its just a giant source of stolen material (Ebaums)

Hmmm. Interesting. I am ashamed to say that I visit that site almost daily. I may reconsider now. I always thought it was odd that they never credit any sources at all. I hate going on there, seeing some video that is awesome, and having no clue where it came from, or what the story is behind it. He should just make it legit, and then we will all be happy. What a turd.
