Lightbulb Theme Park Stock Exchange

I was thinking about something big and fun to do in the summer, and I thought about making up a theme park stock exchange. This is how it would go:

Step 1: Someone would enter their company name (ex. Busch Entertainment, Six Flags. etc.) that is not a real name.

Step 2: I would then give them a "small" park to own, run and manage.

Step 3: I would give them many scenerios where they need to buy new rides for their park for "the next year" (the next week) and could buy from real companies. I would simulate the companies and they would have a certain amount of money to buy rides. Their money would go up after each day depending on the amount of guests their park(s) have. The more parks, and the bigger parks, they have, the more money they can get. They can also sell or exchange parks with other owners, and at the end, we would see who got the farthest! What do you think?

GAmFanboy Current Status: 1 parks (Boomers! : Dania, Florida) 1000 points

ALERT!: A VIP is coming in 3 days, and you must buy one ride (not coaster) for your park before then!

Have any questions about how many points a certain ride costs? Then post it! You can buy a new or used ride/coaster. Here are the current listings for used rides:

Two-Face - The Flip Side (500 points)

Kontiki (50 points)

Silver Bullet (50 points)

Or post to request to buy a new ride! Just tell me what ride type you want, and I can give you some quotes.

Good Luck!

Congratulations! Here is your stats:

X-Treme Thrills Amusement Parks: 1 park (Belmont Park), 1 coaster, 10 rides, 1000 points

ALERT! Chaos has broken down and is closed, and because of low attendance, you must sell 4 of your rides by next week (next Sunday) or will need to destroy the rides without getting any "money" (points) in return!

NOTE: Kings Dominion, Lagoon, and Six Flags America are interested and would like to see which rides so they can make a quote.

Your park has had 350 visitors today, +350 points

stats: 1 park, 1 coaster, 10 rides, 1350 points

Sounds like your customers are excited about the new owner and...

ALERT! Your park needs a restaurant for the VIP before he arrives. You need to build a new restaurant before he comes to satisfy the VIP.

NOTE you can wait to find out howmany visitors you get today, or just go ahead and spend like crazy!

Well, all used flat rides are from 50-100 points and are currently being sold from Cypress Gardens and Hard Rock Park which both are selling all of their rides. Geuaga Lake also might have a few used rides left. But if you really feel the need, you can purchase new rides by simply posting the typ of ride you want. I will then give you a price for the chosen ride type and will also list the manufacturer. The new rides cost from 100-300 points again depending on the size of the ride!

A new ride sounds great, especially since tomorrow is a holiday, meaning many will flock to the parks!

Super Bowl: 200 points
4 lane mat racer: 200 points
2 body slides: 200 points each

total: 800 points

Your choice, but with the park in Wisconsin, I see where you're going!

Cost of admission: Does not matter in this game, as you get a point for every visitor.

The holiday: Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Not a major one, but some people take every chance they can get to go to a park!

500 people have visited your park!

stats: 1 park, 1 coaster, 7 rides, 0 restaurants/shops, 790 points

ALERT! Before you can officially open your new waterslides, you must have an inspector come by and check on the rides for safty. But don't worry. This will happen overnight! -10 points (already included in above total!

================================================== =

Racer: 500 people have visited your park!

stats: 1 park, 1 coaster, 10 rides, 1850 points

Remember about the 3 rides you need to sell!

Belmont park is selling Baja Buggies, Crazy Submarine, and Thunder Boats.

With that extra money, X-Treme Thrills shows some interest in buying Hard Rock Park.

I would like to buy The Crazy Submarine ride from You, Racer. I'll pay 40 Points for it.

So (880 + 200)- 40= 1,040.

So Thunder Boats is sold to GAmFanboy for 40 points!

Plus Lagoon wants Baja Buggies for 50 points, and Six Flags America will take Thunder Boats off of your hands for 40 points!

stats: stats: 1 park, 1 coaster, 7 rides, 1980 points

ALERT! Some Golden Globe VIP couples want to visit Belmont Park on Valentine's Day, but want at least 2 coasters for their visit. Belmont Park needs one more coaster before Valentines Day to satisfy these two!
