Dragon Challenge? OK, for 2009, I'll write it down in my book as the WORST roller coaster name of the year. And I thought 2008's naming of Goliath at SFFT was bad. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. I thought Dueling Dragons was an awesome name for the ride.

^ Could have kept Dueling Dragons and had one Ridgeback and the other Horntale...
Or one Harry and the other the dragon...

Yes that would have made better sense, but to rename the entire roller coaster? What were they thinking?

They named it after one of the challenges in Goblet of Fire; that's what they were thinking. They could have kept Flying Unicorn (Unicorns are mentioned in the books) as well, but they went with Hippogriff because it's more known.
All they're doing is keeping the names more in line with the books. The name isn't going to change anything, there's nothing to complain about.
