Cypress Gardens closes, to find new buyer

Cypress Gardens, once a grand theme park before the days of Disney, announced that it would close and search for a new buyer.

It wasn't financially viable to run because to them the term means the park draws in guest without any new additions. They simply didn't want to spend the money it takes to run a amusement park. It was Land South's incompetents that caused the park to fail, recession or no recession.

Yeah, I have to agree. If they had kept the rides and tried to keep it going like it was they might have had a chance but they wanted to try and run a water-park only. A water park even in Florida can not run year round. I think the biggest mistake they made was trying to move everything around and put it back to what the popes original park looked like instead of evolving it into something that mixed them both together really well.

I'm concerned like everyone else about Starliner. I got Triple Hurricane and everything else but I really wanted to get that ride.

I'm surprised the Floating Island survived. If it were Six Flags it would have been toast.

Its possible that its going to Green Bay. They're considering it or the Dig Dipper at GL.
