I would've done this a long time ago. Send the rides to SFOG, expand WhiteWater.

I skipped it last year. It would have been the day after SFOG trip for me. I went straight to Birmingham and Lake Winnie in the same day. Had to avoid the tiny things.

So SFI is closing a second park in one year. Never made it hear but new about it. but I can't say I'm surprised White Water is the money maker and SFOG isn't all that far away.

Now the Geauga Lake people will be all over this, still whining about why they weren't given notice from Cedar Fair that the park was closing so they could enjoy "one last ride."

Moved from paid admission to pay per ride? Yeah, that was probably a killer right there.

Six Flags sold the Park in 2008 to Zuma Fun Holdings. Shapiro didn't close it Down, Zuma Did.

Two years ago at least I wondered why it was listed as an excluded property on my Six Flags season pass along with Frontier City. They sold Frontier City first and then it finally made sense why American Adventures was on there when Zuma did come forward and leased the park. It was a late in spring development that I did read on Screamscape. It was in 2008.

SFI did not sell AA in 2008. I know this because it was still listed on SFOG's website in 2009. SFI leasing the park makes more sense.

It might come back eventually but with the nature of the message and I also wanted to be on top of the in thing right now: closure.

was the attraction Popular. It seems a have a few rides worth moving but most of the attraction seems overly basic.

With SFI promising additions in 2011 would it just be better to move the rides and expand the water park.

I guess SFI now has a few flats to install in parks next year. Sad to hear though.

Who killed American Adventures? Land value? Crime? Decline on popularity?
Ideas please!
