Ghost Town woes continue to mount


After operating under chapter 11 bankruptcy for the 2009 season, the 2010 season is very much in doubt for the Maggie Valley, NC park.

Well that sucks. It's such a cute little park, and they went through all the troubles of Cliffhanger and now maybe for nothing.

Yeah- I really enjoyed it when we went. It was in that last two weeks, too- some of those people who were so hospitable were doing it knowing that they might not get paid.

Wow, I was quite lucky to get a first time visit to the park when it was recently revived. It was before Cliffhanger's return but I was still lucky. It has a nice atmosphere and one of the best freefall rides I've ever been on. The scenery helped to magnify the effects of riding the gunslinger swings and the freefall tower. It was worth the visit for me.

Leo- I was lucky enough to be there when Cliffhanger was open, and got several rides on it. I just feel a loittle bad that some of the employees I encountered didn't get paid for the hospitality they extended.
