January Contest Results

This month's entries were pretty close, and that along with a few setbacks is why it took so long to judge! Congratulations to everyone who participated. Head over to Speedzone to see if you placed in the Winner's Circle!

If you won a prize...
Use the "Contact Us" feature and title it "NL Contest - January ___ Place Winner"
In the e-mail, include your name, address and phone number, and T-shirt size if you're at an overseas location, or if you got 2nd or 3rd place. The subject needs to be that or else it stands the chance of getting lost.

*You have 30 days starting on February 6th, 2005 to claim your prize.

Who judged this contest?

The second and third place coasters were horrible, and Real's coaster destroyed them in terms of pacing, heartlining, and smoothness. Almost all entries failed to use custom supports. I'm so confused.

Me, Matt and Alex T judged the coasters based on a official contest criteria created by No Limits Staff.

Real's coaster was submitted accidentally and he volunteered to drop out of the contest.

^Ah.

If he hadn't dropped out, I would have been shocked with him not placing, but now I understand. Thanks for clearing that up Kyle.

Huh? Don't I get it or so? Why wouldn't it be judged?

meh, congrats to all.

btw, why would real drop out? i could understand him like not wanting to win and not giving others a chance but couldnt he have just as easily handed the prize to the other winners?

I dont believe I was able to do that. Plus I didnt want to win with the wrong file. Granted, it may have still won, but I felt it would avoid adding any insult to anyone else who put in hard work and it was better for me.

Thats what I get though for rushing it the last few hours. Ive mixed up files before, not fun.

And, Congrats to everyone. It was definatly not the hardest competition but balancing real life and my perfectionism got the better of me.

It seems this contest wasn't a very pro-tried one. I got my coaster done in like a day and it sucked so much. I never thought I would get near the standings. I guess not that many people entered. Idk.
