| June Official NoLimits Contest
For the month of June, ThrillNetwork will hold a coaster design contest using the NoLimits software, the winner of which will receive a Six Flags season pass good at all Six Flags parks. Additionally, second and third place winners will receive a NoLimits ThrillNetwork T-shirt. All winners will have their coasters posted and featured on the official NoLimits web site. For those who win that are not living in the United States, you will be receiving a prize package instead of the season pass. You may only win once. Six Flags season pass prizes for the ThrillNetwork's NoLimits Coaster contest made possible by the generous sponsorship by Six Flags. Rules: -Must be an inverted track style -G's: -2 to +5 Vert G's; -2 to +2 Lateral G's -No other restrictions -Note: 3ds can be used, but they will not judged or will they add to a ride's score Entering your track: 1) Log into the site (from the main site at http://www.thrillnetwork.com/ or SpeedZone, but not the forums) 2) Go to SpeedZone at http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzone/ 3) Select the file you wish to upload and any pictures in the "Upload/Manage Files" tool. Only the track file must be zipped. Also, be sure to include as detailed of a description as possible. 4) When uploading your ride, be sure to check the box that says "Check this box to submit for this month's NoLimits Contest". 5) When the above steps have been completed, click on the "Submit" button. Your file should upload and your track will be submitted for the month's contest. 6) If it fails, check your file sizes, whether or not they are correct extensions, or if you are behind a firewall that may not be properly configured. Those are all common reasons for upload failures. The limit is one contest entry per month. First place winners become ineligible once they win a prize (2004 winners may participate, however).

I really want to do this bt I don't have NL so that might be a problem. I might have to buy it and get good at it and then enter one of these contests sometime.

I'm guessing this is B&M inverted or Vekoma or it doesn't matter?

This is sooooooooooo much better than the May contest. I didn't do it because it looked a little hard (I tried it and it sure was). I can't wait to get started on this!

I disagree with you coasterfreak14. I really don't think the May contest was hard. If the terrain was a problem, then there were several relatively flat spots around the map. I don't think it's that hard to work around rocks. Plus, woodies are generally easier to build because the track elements may not be as complex as some steel coaster, some slight roughness is expected and not taken off for, and supports are basically done for you. May was definately a relative easy contest to build a track for.

True, but there weren't too many rules in the last contest either. The only thing that was unusual was the terrain. They simply asked you to build a GCI style ride of a certain length. The height limit wasn't really a factor because many areas of the map were pretty low so that your ride probably wouldn't come close to it anyways. I also like next month's contest, but I really think May's was easier because of the type of coaster. On a completely unrelated note... I like that joke in your sig ragan. Good one.

The Rattler is going to Kick A I have been braging for a while now and i said, with 'The Rattler /T3' that i was gonna prove my self, and i am still working on the station, but it is gonna be really sweet. And ya i only have 'T3' and the June contest, so i mean June comes frist but i can do both at once. But ya i have some nice little ideas i have writtin down, just becuase i am the kinda person that wants to stand out , and not play by the rules of Reality! ![]() - Max

^You have a ride called T3? Because me, Erik Leppen, ejatwd, TMProd, and Matt M all made a community coaster called T3 also. Uh Oh.

Hm... no other restrictions... but just to be sure, I ask this: Is it allowed to make a racing/dueling coaster?

^Yeah, I was about to ask that too. Also, should we make it moebius or can we do a shift that will make the ride work like a regular dueling coaster, although that shift would have a terrible collision?

You made a project called T3, or you are working on a project called T3? Ok i just think i came up with a cool name and i dident want anyone to take it givin the chance, becuase my rollercoaster wont be realised untill the end of the summer. The name i changed it to has three t's, so i just called it T3 for the time being. But if this is going to cause a problem between your project and mine, and i would rather it dident becuase i know you guys put a lot of effort into your projects, so a name conllision wouldent be good. If you want i might as well just spill the name of my coaster, but ya i am just weard like that, because i like to hide sectain parts of my ride, so poeple cant borrow them untill after i have all ready used it. I might as well just tell you all tho, i mean this project isent the bigest thing in the world its only a rollercoaster, its not something the Buster put together so ya. Anyway to clear the issue of confushion my rollercoaster is called, 'Top Thrills Termite.' Hopefully this can knock the confushion between projects down a knoch. So if i caused any confushion 'meowcoaster1.' But ya as i said its not going to be released untill the end of the summer and i liked the name so i just wanted to hold onto it, that was the only reaison for calling it T3. Anyway i dont see why we wouldent be aloud to build a duleing invert. He said no other restrictions, and a rollercoaster is a rollercoaster dueling or not, but it would be best to clear this through an admin first. - Max

'The Abstienence' This is going to be my June Contest Entery. I have completely finsihed the track work, on this roller coaster, expect in one area on the ride the G's hit 5.1 so i need a tiny bit of banking work and i am going to be good to go. Just to let you all know my rollercoaster is 196ft tall and manages to packs 12 inversions into 1.5 miles of track! So i really look forward to competing with everyone. When i have completey finsihed the track work and am allmost done with my supports i will put my rollercoaster into my NLDC with lots of pictures. I look forward to competing with everyone! - Max

I hate no restrictions...Id have to make up some of my own. The most boring rides seem to come from "no restrictions" while the more entertaining and unique come from restrictions. You guys get a whole month, thats so much time. Other sites give a few weeks and people still make the deadlines.

In a scence your right, but then again your also sort of wrong. When you are limited there is only so much you can do. And when you are limited it helps you build becuase you can only think so far out side of the box before you hit another wall. I enjoy being les limited it gives all of us a scence of more creativity. But it all just depends on the kind of person you are and your building style. - Max

I like no restrictions, because when you have to be super specific, you get lots of similar coasters. Now its just inverted, so you get much inverted coasters, but you get much more diversity.

I'm currently working on my immelman, the second inversion on my ride, which is proving to be a pain in the rear end, lol. My ride is 130 feet tall with a 106 foot first drop. And I'm really using up the g limits haha. The max so far is right on 5.0 g's.

Humm . . . . total track length?^ (I'm at 1.5 miles) Pipes i feel you pain. My rollercoaster hits that 5g limits in sevral places. But at the bottom of the loop is where i would of leave expected it, but hey stuff happenes. Funny thing is, mine allmost looks like a 200ft Bowl, sorta twisted . . . . . o well. - Max
