June Official NoLimits Contest

For the month of June, ThrillNetwork will hold a coaster design contest using the NoLimits software, the winner of which will receive a Six Flags season pass good at all Six Flags parks. Additionally, second and third place winners will receive a NoLimits ThrillNetwork T-shirt. All winners will have their coasters posted and featured on the official NoLimits web site. For those who win that are not living in the United States, you will be receiving a prize package instead of the season pass. You may only win once.

Six Flags season pass prizes for the ThrillNetwork's NoLimits Coaster contest made possible by the generous sponsorship by Six Flags.

Rules:
-Must be an inverted track style
-G's: -2 to +5 Vert G's; -2 to +2 Lateral G's
-No other restrictions
-Note: 3ds can be used, but they will not judged or will they add to a ride's score

Entering your track:
1) Log into the site (from the main site at http://www.thrillnetwork.com/ or SpeedZone, but not the forums)
2) Go to SpeedZone at http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzone/
3) Select the file you wish to upload and any pictures in the "Upload/Manage Files" tool. Only the track file must be zipped. Also, be sure to include as detailed of a description as possible.
4) When uploading your ride, be sure to check the box that says "Check this box to submit for this month's NoLimits Contest".
5) When the above steps have been completed, click on the "Submit" button. Your file should upload and your track will be submitted for the month's contest.
6) If it fails, check your file sizes, whether or not they are correct extensions, or if you are behind a firewall that may not be properly configured. Those are all common reasons for upload failures.

The limit is one contest entry per month. First place winners become ineligible once they win a prize (2004 winners may participate, however).

I really want to do this bt I don't have NL so that might be a problem. I might have to buy it and get good at it and then enter one of these contests sometime.

I'm guessing this is B&M inverted or Vekoma or it doesn't matter?

This is sooooooooooo much better than the May contest. I didn't do it because it looked a little hard (I tried it and it sure was). I can't wait to get started on this!

I disagree with you coasterfreak14. I really don't think the May contest was hard. If the terrain was a problem, then there were several relatively flat spots around the map. I don't think it's that hard to work around rocks. Plus, woodies are generally easier to build because the track elements may not be as complex as some steel coaster, some slight roughness is expected and not taken off for, and supports are basically done for you. May was definately a relative easy contest to build a track for.

True, but there weren't too many rules in the last contest either. The only thing that was unusual was the terrain. They simply asked you to build a GCI style ride of a certain length. The height limit wasn't really a factor because many areas of the map were pretty low so that your ride probably wouldn't come close to it anyways. I also like next month's contest, but I really think May's was easier because of the type of coaster.

On a completely unrelated note... I like that joke in your sig ragan. Good one.

True but it still should be realistic, which makes it much harder than May. Here you have more room for g errors, pumping, and jerkyness that aren't expected on ANY modern invert.

I think my rollercoaster should be very unareganal. Humm . . . a backwards launch, or a . . . . . ha ha! My little secret. Look forward to competing with everyone!
