July Official NL Contest

For the month of July, ThrillNetwork will hold a coaster design contest using the NoLimits software, the winner of which will receive a Six Flags season pass good at all Six Flags parks. Additionally, second and third place winners will receive a NoLimits ThrillNetwork T-shirt. All winners will have their coasters posted and featured on the official NoLimits web site. For those who win that are not living in the United States, you will be receiving a prize package instead of the season pass. You may only win once.

Six Flags season pass prizes for the ThrillNetwork's NoLimits Coaster contest made possible by the generous sponsorship by Six Flags.

July Rules:
Any track style
Must have at least a 200ft drop
-2 to +5 vert g's; -2 to +2 lat g's
Terrain allowed
3ds allowed (will not add to score or be judged)

Entering your track:
1) Log into the site (from the main site at http://www.thrillnetwork.com/ or SpeedZone, but not the forums)
2) Go to SpeedZone at http://www.thrillnetwork.com/speedzone/
3) Select the file you wish to upload and any pictures in the "Upload/Manage Files" tool. Only the track file must be zipped. Also, be sure to include as detailed of a description as possible.
4) When uploading your ride, be sure to check the box that says "Check this box to submit for this month's NoLimits Contest".
5) When the above steps have been completed, click on the "Submit" button. Your file should upload and your track will be submitted for the month's contest.
6) If it fails, check your file sizes, whether or not they are correct extensions, or if you are behind a firewall that may not be properly configured. Those are all common reasons for upload failures.

DEADLINE: July 31, 11:59PM ET

The limit is one contest entry per month. First place winners become ineligible once they win a prize (2004 winners may participate, however).

So If I understand this correctly this is a free form contest. That would be cool! Although it's hard to compare steel and wood. But I'm in.

Is terrain judged?

Yep, free form. Terrain itself isn't judged, but if it adds to the ride experience, we'll notice and it'll be accounted for.

I want to enter this. Am I allowed to have somebody do the supports for me or do I have to do them myself?

Sounds good, I think I'm going to make a terrain Hyper with airtime, lats, and lots of positive g's. Sort of a cross between Goliath and Nitro, but more spreat out.

^Lats? On a steel hyper?

Crazy.

Since there is no Arrow hyper type, your only options for a steel hyper are from companies that try to minimize lats. Therefore, you should keep the lats low tomake the ride more realistic (and higher scoring).

Who cares. It's only the track type. I need a little help. Well I'm doing a B&M Hyper. Are the supports like Intamin Hypers or what? I just don't have a clue. And I finished my trackwork just now so the supports are waiting

Man your fast at building. I think some lats on a hyper would give a nice variety. Besides it will still bve realistic, just a little different.
